Played on Friday 1/13 with a tee time before 10 am. POP was around 4 hours to play 18. Had to wait a little bit on the first few holes on the front nine and then POP picked up.

Played the day after the rainstorm. Therefore the entire course was very wet and muddy. The water on hole number 2 was a little larger than it normally was. Start of water was about 20 yards closer than it normally is. They were pumping out the water around the lake on hole 2. A lot of the course was roped off to steer you around all the mud on the course.

The tee boxes were in terrible shape. It has taken a beating. It was hard to find a spot on the tee boxes that was not a divot or muddy. Fairways were in winter/dormant stage. There was new growth due to the rains but there were lots of dirt/bare patches. Fairways were thin in spots. Fairways were very wet and muddy in spots too. Sand was nice. Tho' being the day after the rains, there were pools of water in a lot of the bunkers. Greens were fairly nice for this time of year. There were lots of balls marks on the greens. With the greens being wet, balls tend to roll a little slow. Course should be fine in a few days.

There were several holes where they moved the tees up such as holes #13 and #15. Was surprised that the front tee on hole #1 was on a mat. All the other tees were on grass. Like playing here to work on your short game. Great rates to play here. Very flat course so you can walk 18 here.

Unable to play due to frost at Coto yesterday, so while in the L.A. area, decided to stop back at Westchester to revisit. It has been a while since I last played here, so it was for the memory than the actual interest in playing. The course was in about the condition I expected. Greens were decent, although few had issues and were occasionally bumpy. Tee boxes were the worst part of the course. Fairways were winter condition, dormant but playable. It was packed out there, so I did not finish as it would have turned into a 5 hour round. Still I enjoyed those holes that I completed. Nice memories.

Played here Friday. Course is in pretty decent condition for the amount of play and the fact it's executive. This day wasn't busy. Finished round in under 3 hours (more like 2 1/2). Greens in good shape. Some work on the greens and some patched spots but otherwise playable. Greens ran with med/fast speed and a little bumpy but that's from the afternoon sun. Fairways and rough had your mix of lush and thin lies, typical for this time of the year. Bunkers had decent amount of sand (most of bunkers on the course are 15/16/17.)Tee boxes while beaten up were playable.

Overall course conditions very consistently above par with some of the golf courses in the area. Throw in the price point a definite value. Play here again? Of course, just mind the air traffic it is after all adjacent to LAX.

I don't know why but I really like this course. The tee boxes were pretty beat up, but they were flat. The fairways had decent coverage, rough was fairly lush and the greens rolled surprisingly well. The sand, which I had the privilege of hitting out of 5 times was fluffy and very nice.

This was my first time playing that course under sun light and it was much different than playing under the lights. Each of the holes are a little different in design, and the par 3s were all playing to different yardages. While this course isn't somewhere you'll take an out of town guest (unless you're trying to sneak around in around a flight), it is a great place to practice since you need to hit so many different shots. For the price it's a steal.

Played Wednesday. Have to say they are working on the greens a bit. Few of them had aeration marks already (perhaps a week old).

Course for the most part is in pretty good shape. Greens do roll better than most courses in the area (I am thinking of Alondra in particular). Putts had good speed, rolled fairly true. Folks just fix your darn divots PLEASE! Fairways in decent shape. Good coverage and NOT ONE THIN LIE. Rough is cut to same height as fairway (approximately). Green complexes had decent coverage. Good Sand in bunkers. Rough around greens could be spotty in places but not a major problem. Tee boxes are a bit unlevel but if you walk back a few paces you could almost find decent flat spots to hit from so not really an issue.

Pace of play was brisk. We were 2 in carts and two walking. One almost a beginner. We managed to keep pace until back 9 but still finished in a little under 4 hours.

Greens do make a difference. If they roll well, which these do, expect to get preferred results from putting. It should be noted they are working on some of the greens - not all. One in particular had repairs (Hole 18) and another had some bald spots but the staff was smart enough to place the pin AWAY from these locations.

Play here again? Of course especially if you can get a round in under 4 hours. It may not be big boy golf but it's fun and in my opinion harder... you really have to hit your greens in regulation and accuracy here does count.

Played Sunday 8/7 with a tee time around 11 am. It took us about 4 1/2 hours to play 18. Course was very busy today. Saw lots of groups of 4 and 5's today. We did have to wait to tee off on several of the par 3 holes especially on the back 9, which has 4 holes of back to back par 3s.

Nice little course -- total yardage for 18 holes about 4300 yards. You can easily walk 18 holes here as it is fairly flat. Fairways had very good coverage. There were thin spots here and there on the fairways but you can still play. The tee boxes had good coverage and were fairly level. Found that the rough can be fairly thick in spots as I had to help several players in my foursome find their balls. Several holes on the front 9 were parallel to each other and you need to watch out and heed the fore calls. Water comes into play on hole #2.

Found myself in a couple of bunkers. The one I landed in had a thin layer of sand and was hard packed dirt under the sand. It was a little hard getting out of that bunker. Love that they added 3 holes to make this course a full 18 holes. Love playing the new holes - hole 15 a par 5 hole, hole 16 a par 3 hole and hole 17 which is a par 4 hole. These 3 holes 15 - 17 have wide fairways but it is more out in the open and wind can come into play.

Greens were in good condition for this time of year. There were a lot of unrepaired ball marks here and there. Some of the greens were a little bumpy and some seemed a little fast.

With this golf course being next to LAX, it was a lot cooler than the SFV. I love watching the planes flying by. It can get quite loud when the planes are taking off. It's a nice distraction. While playing hole 15, it sometimes looks like the planes are coming right to the golf course. This is a great course for practicing your short game.

Played yesterday. Pace of play was great. Greens were slowish, kept their line and very consistent from green to green. Fairways in great shape with good coverage. Bunkers well stocked with sand -- saw two of them LOL.. d%mn sand :D Rough is mix of thick and thin. But when it's thick it's punishing, grabbing your club. Tee boxes are flat and playable. Pace of play under 4 hours for 18 holes. Great deal $24.50 gets you a drink (includes beer) + cart and a small bucket o balls... not a bad deal for my bad feet :D

Greens look like they were aerated at least a week ago. 1/2 of most of the greens were punched. Greens still slow and bumpy.

Fairways have good coverage. Rough is thick and sticky around green complexes but along fairway you have varying height of grasses to just bare spots. Bunkers well stocked with sand, hard-packed. Tee boxes for the most part are flatish.

Pace of play a phenomenal 3 hours for 18 holes walking. Greens should recover soon though.

Decided to hit the home course again for first time in a few months. $36 walking with a push cart. Walked on and got paired up with twosome second up, then added a fourth at the second hole. POP was pretty good for a holiday weekend Sunday around 4:20. Fairways have been greener before, but mostly all playable. Not too much difference from the fairways to the rough. Tee boxes are fairly chewed up - combination of heavy traffic and so many par 3s. Sand in the bunkers is exceptional for this course. Greens actually look 10x worse than they play. They were fast today with some tough pin placements. But aesthetically they're a mess - strange lines cut through some of them, sandy areas, dead & mossy areas, bumps. But again, play much better than they look. Was good to get back out there and work the short game. Didn't hurt to shoot second-best ever score there with a 78 (saved with a birdie on 18). Enjoyed the last day of sunshine before the rains come this week.
