played april 8th thurs. it was my first time there and had a blast. customer service is top notch. layout is good and had great views. fairways, rough, and bunkers were great. greens were still sanded and recovering from aeration, i called the pro shop and they said it was 90% healed, personally id say 80%. give it one more week and the greens are probably good to go.

Played in a tournament early Saturday morning 3/13/10 on a breezy cool morning. Course is in very good condition throughout. Greens are very firm (too firm for most casual golfers, IMO) and you must spin the ball to hold shots well. Greens also fast, especially downhill and toward Disneyland - be below the hole. Still several holes consistently CPO. Recommended.

Played Sat 2/20 for $75 at 12:30ish tee time. Despite all the rains, course is in pretty good shape. Obviously, still sporadic ground under repair areas, the fires did burn the hills around the course a couple of years ago, so the drainage issues are very understandable. Doesn't really affect play at all. Greens in good shape, and were medium fast. The transition to kikuyu is in effect, but no quite noticeable yet. Course workers were insistent that they will keep it very tight when the kikuyu takes full effect. Rough is quite lush like most courses right now, but not as punitive as other courses. Sand was in ok/good shape. I was in the sand maybe 3 times, and had one hard packed lie where I couldn't dig under the ball and skulled it. Happened to a couple other people in my group as well.

Overall, pretty good experience, cart girl was around early and often. One issue I had was that we couldn't get an after round cocktail due to a wedding right in the bar/restaurant area.

superbowl special - the course was packed! good thing the pace was pretty good despite the number of golfers and some 'paths only'. finished in 4 hours 10 mins. fairways were soggy due to the rain, some bunkers looked more like water hazards. greens were slow. front 9 - driver friendly with lots of wide landing areas. back 9 - brutal and challenging. and yes, the cartgirl also drove thru while one of us were teeing off. she apologized saying she didnt see us teeing off. overall, it was a great experience and with a deal like this, i'm there!

Played 1/1/10 got the GREAT rate from Golfnow.com ($49). Tee'd off (at) 7:15 am and finished in 4 1/2 hours, seems to be about standard based on reviews. Course was in fantastic shape and looked beautiful tee to green. We had a little wind to start the day off (Santa Ana's so it was not prevailing wind), helped a little on the Front. Front side is very nice, but you do need to nail your tee shots to specific spots. First time I have played, so the back to back par 3's was a little quirky, I'm sure on a really crowded day this can slow things down to a halt. Enjoyed the front side, although the greens were not holding a thing. You had to play to front edge of green on anything more than a nine iron to even hope to keep it on the green. I play the SRIXON Z Star, so they should stop, but not today.... Dissappointed with some nice 5-4 iron shots into front of green that stopped rolling off the back side of green in rough.

Back side is toughest by far. There are some very quirky holes where you can't rip a tee shot unless you are absolutely DEAD STRAIGHT and how many golfers can do that. This will leave you with long approach shots to greens that didn't want to hold. Anyway, pack a few extra balls for the back side for sure. If you don't nail your driver, keep it in the bag, you'll save a lot of strokes and balls. Some long playing par 3's on this side as well.

Overall, course was in great shape. Pro Shop staff was fantastic. Cart girl was all over the course but they really should teach her to stop when players are hitting shots. Actually was driving next to tee boxes in the middle of swings on a number of holes. Kind of made us not so glad to see her !!!! Definitely will play here again, just not sure if it is going to be a regular stop on my circuit, well worth the discounted green fee though ! At rack rates, once in a blue moon. Beautiful views from many holes on a nice clear day.... by the way, as they say in the Pro Shop... you better know where Disneyland is ----- it affects every putt !!!

Played in the late morning on Friday, 10/09/09, on a sunny, warm day with only light breezes – perfect golf weather. Course is in similar condition to when I played here about 4 months ago – generally good greens and fairways, sand in very good condition. Apparently they recently aerated/overseeded - some greens still showed holes (but didn’t affect putting) and sprinklers were going on and off in some of the fairways as we were playing, making some areas very wet. Some areas on the greens were dry and firm, others wet and soft. A few holes were CPO, not as many as last time. Cart girl came by twice each nine, play took about 5 hours. Quite a few areas around some greens or along fairways where there are steep slopes showed recent extensive resodding or were sloppy wet and in need of drainage help. Generally fun and challenging course not in primo condition right now.

Course was in descent shape but extremely muddy and wet in many places. Sand traps were like wet cemet and the fairways were mostly cart path only because of the mud.

Read the review by pfuzzard and booked a twilight round on a Thursday via Click4TeeTimes ($45 per player). They do keep a lot of water on the course making for green and somewhat soft-soggy conditions in the fairway and rough, with many areas roped off to keep wayward carts from destroying the area. The greens are very soft, accepting most every shot except the low runners, and there are many unrepaired ball marks from careless hackers. Cart girl out regularly on a hot day ... great to see. Course has some quirky holes, lots of red/green tipped stakes along fairways to keep things moving. We played in 4:45, a bit slow but we finished before dark.

Played at noon on Saturday with jfuzz. We actually got out ahead of our tee time. There was a tournament out a couple of hours ahead of us. We did not catch them until late on the back 9. Played in about 3 1/2 hours. Very happy with that. Greens were good. Faster than what I am used too. Fairways were pretty soggy for the most part. Rough around the greens very thick. I also had some pretty bad lies near the greens that should have been GUR. Inside staff and starter great job. Bev cart around once each nine. Overall a good day for a Saturday afternoon.
