Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Overall course was in good shape for winter conditions. Greens were FIRM and FAST. Pace of Play was good!
PoP was great. Greens were sanded so they were inconsistent but overall good. Tight lies everywhere due to winter conditions. Very pricey, but seems to be the norm these days.
GreensKeeper didn't catch the aeration alert for this course. They punched the greens on four days ago, and nothing posted on GreensKeeper. Kind of surprised they missed it. So the course was under repair. Expected this time of the year. PoP was great, 4 hours. The golf carts SUCK. They regulate every single turn, hill, etc. My main frustration today was the golf carts.
Course is in great shape even after a recent green aerification but how in the world do you have a 5.5 hour round on a Monday morning. Absolutely ridiculous. In addition, we saw the beverage cart once, parked at the turn. It was 90 degrees out! I have always loved Eagle, but this was a brutal day. Marshall came around on the 5th hole with 4 groups on the hole. Just smiled and kept driving. Unacceptable.
Course is in great shape. PoP was awesome! Greens were nice, but running on the slow side. Bunkers were a bit firm. Only downside was no beverage cart on the course and we ran out of water on a hot day. They could use some additional beverage and food service, especially when it is hot. Haven't played here in years, but really enjoyed it!
Course was in descent shape. Greens were super soft and spongy and extremely slow. The only thing slower than the greens was the PoP and the golf carts! HORRIBLE. Almost a 6 hour round and the golf carts have governors on them that adjust about ever 15 feet from 2mph to 7mph. Quite miserable.
It pains me to write this about my home course, but wow, it is in rough shape. Maybe American Golf is finally taking its toll. I understand fall maintenance, but the course was a wet swamp. I am hoping it is temporary. Greens were punched a couple weeks ago and actually rolled nicely. Everything else was rough. Worst part was Pace of Play! There are no marshals, so even though 5somes are not allowed, there was a 5some playing, that held up the entire back nine. They were three holes behind. The pro-shop couldn't do anything either because he was the only person working. Finally, there were no golf carts available upon arrival. We had to wait until right before our tee time to get a cart. Please restore proper PoP and a better experience.
Played 12.22.21. PoP was great. Teed off at 9:30 and played 3hrs45mns. Course conditions were brutal. I have enjoyed this course in the past, but it has had it's challenges. Part of it is the dormancy of the grass, but more so, the severe lack of grass. This has the potential to be an amazing course, based on the challenge, and uniqueness of its' character, but the conditions are beyond brutal. Sad to see the potential that lies there.
Course is in good shape. Greens are smooth and consistent. The bunkers are AWFUL, absolutely AWFUL. Other than that, the course is great. The carts are super annoying as they constantly slow you down, but they are nice.
The greens are brutal. Something needs to be done to fix these. The price is outrageous for the conditions and the overall track.
What is wrong with the greens at this course?? They cannot seem to get them right. WAY WAY OVERPRICED course, but fun overall. They need to fix the greens, and charge way less for the course.
This is my home course and I have played here often. They are doing a lot of enhancements to the course right now, including all new bunkers. Greens have recovered nicely from aerification and are rolling pretty quickly, albeit, sometimes still bumpy. My biggest gripe with this course is the PoP. It has gotten REALLY bad... A Friday at 11am tee time should not take over 5 hours to finish. Not sure if it is because of American Golf running the course now and there are no Marshalls, or what, but it is bad. It is impossible to get into a golfing rhythm, and thus, not enjoyable.
