Played today with a 31.99 rate, finished in 3.5 hours so good pace for this place. The first hole is temporarily changed to a par 3, and many holes are CPO. Unlike most area courses, the rain was not kind to this place. Every surface from tee to green is very hard. The coverage on the tee boxes, fairways and rough was very spotty overall. Tough to get tees in the ground as well. Most bunkers were hard beneath maybe an inch of soft sand. The greens were surprisingly nice as far as ball damage and roll goes.

The service in the pro shop was excellent. However, we had a ground crew fellow just ahead of us for most of the round. He was dousing every green with so much water it was causing pooling, and would take his time doing it so we waited on most approach shots while he soaked everything. Pretty much ruined the round. Hopefully this was an anomaly and doesn't happen to the next gk'er that plays here.

Final impression: Needs to soften up and green up everywhere. It's still golf so it's still fun, but don't expect good lies.

WHY:
- Can not resist the $29/player on Sunday afternoon, so off we went. Staffs were friendly and well trained, which really helps to keep most of everyone and everything in order as intended. The course lay-out is quite interesting with many twists and turns here and there which keeps us golfer quite entertained; loved the narrow fairways protected either by a stream or hilly tops which in my opinion are great balls trappers. This is the course where I finished the round with more balls than when i started; I was able to find at least 2 balls everytime when went looking for my ball after a not so perfect shoi; hence leave one pocket on your golf bag empty for newly found golf balls on your next visit.
- Tee boxes were in decent shapes, better if it can be placed not so far from the original marks. Fairways were mostly narrows, in above average conditions, not as green as most other course (prob because they are adhere to the local water alert program) signs were posted on carts and thrpughout. Greens were good, 7 out of 10 in my opinion, semi smooth, great feels; loved the different in sizes and angle of elevation.
- Overall, I would rate Fullerton to be Good and will definitely on my come back list.

It's been a few years since I last played Fullerton. Despite the modest length of this course, it actually has several good holes. If you play from the "real" blue tees and not from where they place the markers, there are several "legit" holes which will test even the better player.

Understanding that this is Fullerton Golf Course, it was in the best condition I have ever seen, again remembering this is Fullerton and not Augusta National. Greens were receptive, and rolled reasonably true, and the greenside bunkers were wonderful! Still some issues with some fairways, and some the rough needed to be visited by the mowers, while other areas needed some seed.

First off at 6:30am (still very dark) and finished before nine as a walking twosome. For $17 (senior rate) it's a steal. Staff was great !

I played in a scramble on Saturday 6/27 tee time at 10am with a shotgun start. I played this course approximately 6 months ago and was not impressed, was actually rather bummed out that we would be playing such a 'gimmicky' course for our annual tournament. I am glad I went in with no expectations as everything from Tee to Green were in pretty good shape. All the unlevel Tee boxes were in great shape and spots that were mostly level. greens were very receptive to both long irons and wedges. Rough wasn't too penal, and it seemed like most balls had good lies on the fairways. If I lived closer I would play this course, but it is nothing fancy to check out. if you are in the area and have not played it, I would check it out. Tom

Quick review for today. GN $17.50 at 11:45. Pace 4 hrs. Fairways are trash from the cold weather and frost last week. Greens punched with very small tines, no effect. Rolled great and held shots. Bunkers mixed, some soft, some firm. Tee boxes mostly uneven but not hard to find a level spot. Acceptable conditions for price paid.

Played 10/6 in the afternoon. I've played here all my life so it's never really surprising playing here, just thought I'd review since there hadn't been one in a while.

They punched "half" of the greens yesterday, but 2 or 3 of the greens were completely punched and sanded. Something that was a little annoying was that golfnow.com didn't have anything about the aeration and the pro shop didn't say anything to us about it. It wasn't a huge deal, but sort of annoying.

The fairways were thin and pretty dry but still left fair lies. The rough is variable and pretty punishing in spots. Greens are bumpy and covered with ball marks. The speed was medium. The one bunker I was in was playable and fair, (a buddy of mine wasn't thrilled with one of the other bunkers he was in but I can't attest). Pace was better than usual as there weren't that many people out there. We passed a 4some of walkers on the front side and didn't have to wait for another shot after that.

If you haven't played here, don't expect country club conditions, or top of the line anything. It's a great course to practice your game and work on your accuracy. It is narrow throughout the course with lots of trouble to find. However, if you can keep the ball in the fairway it's not a very challenging course. Worth about a $20 round in my opinion. Cheers!
