Played on Sunday afternoon, May 15 and was shocked to see THEY WERE AERATING AND SANDING THE GREENS .... on the busiest day and time for golf. This was happening at 2PM on a Sunday (not 5AM on a Monday). On hole #12, the crew saw us coming up the fairway, picked up the flag and planted it 10 yards from the green ... we just picked up and went to the next hole. It makes no sense ... most courses aerated over a month ago and no one aerates and sands on the busiest and most expensive days for golf! Anyway, the greens will be unplayable, then bumpy until mid-June.

Fun course for the money. Well kept, nice staff. I would play here again, but try to get here very early, tee times fill up fast and could really slow your play. The last time we played here, we had a bad experience, but they have more than made up for it with the quality of service and course conditions.

Friday Twighlight is $19 w/cart. Wow. Great little executive course but needs a lot of TLC. It's a challenging little course with narrow landing areas and small greens. You won't need a driver for a majority of the holes. The course however needs a lot of TLC. Thin lies in the fairways are common. Rough around the greens are good. Prepare to play lay up shots and roll ball into green. Greens do roll nicely and the rolling undulations even on the smaller greens are challenging. I would recommend this place but as I said, the course needs water and a lot of TLC.

Played on 6/17 with a tee time around 10 am. Took us about 4 1/2 to play 18. Course is in terrible shape. Fairways were yellow and bare in lots of spots, and were very dry and firm. When we played, the grounds crew were running sprinklers on a lot of holes. If your ball landed near one on the sprinklers, you had to time it just right to hit your ball. Sand was hard packed and wet in some spots from the sprinklers. Greens had a lot of ball marks and were very bumpy. The course layout is a little quirky. There were a number of elevated tee boxes. Hole number 16 had a severe dogleg. Water comes into play on a number of holes with a creek running through the course. This is one of the few courses where they still sell driving range cards where you can select the number of balls for the driving range (other American golf courses you have to buy a key or buy a medium or large bucket of balls). One of the main reasons we played here was the hot dog e-mail special we received. Otherwise it will be a long time before we will be back.

This place is in really poor shape. Should have expected it when we called Fri. afternoon and could book a foursome for Sat. morning. The fairways were as hard as concrete and lacking grass in a lot of areas. The greens were bumpy and covered with old ball marks that were not repaired correctly so you never knew what to expect in speed or break. Will be a long time before we go back.
One positive thing was the staff. Very friendly and helpful.

played a few weeks ago, right after our big bout of rain. this course doesn't drain well at all. i think, over time, the rain will be good for the course, because this track is usually in pretty bad condition...so i think the rain may give it the "lush" condition it so desperately needs.
it's an odd layout, but fun. a good course to practise moving the ball, and you're hitting to a lot of elevated greens, so you can have some practise judging elevation changes in regards to distance.
don't expect much, you won't be getting much. they'll just push you out there, with no regard to pace of play. a funny story was when i played, a kid working the grounds crew approached me to tell me it was cart path only that day. i apologized, and asked why the pro shop guy didn't tell me...and he replied "because he's a fat, lazy f***". ouch...no love at fullerton!

With the extreme cold, and everywhere closed due to frost. Fullerton does not recognize frost apparently because I was allowed to tee off at first light (Actually before it was light!) I expected the condition of the course to be "less than perfect" so I was prepared for the bare spots, thin bunkers, etc. However, I was able to get out and get around in a couple of hours. There are a number of fun little holes on this course, but as is always the case, conditioning is a problem. Greens were decent however! All and all, pretty much what I expected.

Played 11/27...the Friday after Thanksgiving. Paid holiday rate and as this course allows fivesomes, we were one of the few foursomes that day. Painfully slow. The layout of the course is interesting for such a short track. Unless you have laser accuracy, leave the driver in the bag and play your 3 & 5 woods off the tee. The course was in poor shape with enough pitch marks on the greens to make the moon look smooth. The tee boxes were also hacked up making the ground feel very lumpy underfoot. For the most part, the traps had a razor thin layer of grains on top of hard pan. I doubt I'll play here again. There are many great courses to play within 90 minutes of my home; this isn't one of them.
