Played at 10:30 today, $36 golfnow rate. Got out on time, which was good...but the round lasted about 5.5 hours. Not acceptable for a short par 67 course. Conditions were decent, mostly good lies in the fairways/rough with some hardpan here and there. Tee boxes are lush enough but generally not level. Wasn't in any sand but it looked fine. The greens rolled fine, if a bit slow, but people who frequent this course have still not learned how to fix ball marks. There are several on most greens, I fixed a few per green but it was too big a job for just one man. Also, the grass around the edges of most cups was growing out and over the hole, effectively making the holes smaller. I burned several edges today where normally the putts would have fallen. Overall, the rate is fair enough to play here, but length of round plus the ball mark issue makes me want to seek out other local options.

Enjoyed a round here. Slow on the front, as there are 4 par 3's in a row, 5 somes are sent out, and not much time in between groups. Course is tight, as many areas off the fairway are creek, think bush, street, or cliff. If you hit fairways and greens, course is not that difficult. A few elevation changes here and there on short par 3's. Fairways are decent and easy to hit off of most of the time. Rough is patch, some areas thick, some thin, some good, some dirt. For under $30 with cart, hot dog, and fries, no a bad deal, although it is not a regulation par 72 course.

Played Sunday at 1:45, 5+ hour round. Course conditions were typical Fullerton; beat-up tee boxes, mostly level; patchy fairways with very few good lies; rough ranging from spotty to extremely lush (read: Tough to escape from); and OK to good greens with many ball marks. I must say though, the bunkers stood out this time. All of them were in near excellent condition, fairway and greenside, with great sand and not a rock to be seen. The beverage cart came around twice. Customer service didn't really stand out as good or bad, just kind of there. For $25 on a Sunday, I'd say it's a decent value. Make sure to heed the warning signs and stay out of the creek areas and bushes; I've seen many golfers end up with stinging nettle or poison ivy that will really wreck your round. Just take your drop and move on.

Knowing what to expect based upon past experience and recent posts, The best was everything I knew it would be: terrible condition with respect to the fairways and rough, but the greens were actually better than expected. Staff was very accommodating and for $17, hard to complain. As I rarely play here, and in all fairness, there are several good holes, so for the price - it's all good !

Played today, 11:07 tee time, round lasted 4:20. Not bad. I've played this course in the past and came in with very low expectations...the course was a little better than expected. The tee boxes were mostly level, some were chewed up and some were very nice. The fairways and rough were trash...dirt, some grass, and weeds. The bunkers were above average, with an adequate amount of soft sand. The greens were the best part of the experience; smooth, fast and true. Quite a few ball marks though, and many bunkers weren't raked. C'mon people, get with the program and take care of the course!. The beverage cart came around twice. For the price ($23.99 w/cart), I'd say today was worth it.

I played a twilight round here for the first time on 10/17 at 4:30pm. We had a twosome and that we could cruise through and finish before sundown. However, that was not the case. We got stuck behind a high school practice and was only able to complete 11 holes prior to sundown.
This course epitomizes the saying "you get what you pay for". This is a typical municipal that seems to be going through rehab. As mentioned prior, lots of the fairways were undergoing repairs. The tee boxes were not in the best of shape. However, the greens and area around it was pretty decent. Even though there were lots of unrepaired divots on the green, it was in decent shape.
I probably would only come here if I wanted to try to squeeze in a desperate round (for cheap), otherwise would look elsewhere. However, this appears to be a decent place for beginners to practice their short game (with the extra par 3's and all).

Have not played Fullerton for almost 2 years after bad experience with extreme muddy drainage problems following a few days of rain. Thought I would give them another chance on 9/1. It appears that they are finally addressing the drainage problems(?) There are heavy digging - especially on Hole #3, where they converted a Par 4 to a Par 3, but there were NO written signs anywhere showing that, just a red flag on a flat green area about 100 yards away - which looked like a caution flag, , making it very confusing. There seemed to be over-watering - and of course - no draining, with muddy patches all throughout the course. Many of the greens are extremely soft and wet with lots of sand in an attempt to firm it up (one of my balls landed on a green and was half buried!). It will probably be another 2 years before I play this course again.

The course was under heavy construction, including the driving range. Which threw off the first couple holes for us. The noise was distracting, but the back 9 was much more fun!
