Played 4/2/05 1;05pm. This course especially first 9 holes gave me the impression that built & designed layout with the land left after building all homes around, surely used very well. Or maybe inverse. Very tight fairways,hard rock greens not receptive but super fast make interesting all those accurate & target golfers but not to begging golfers. Total yardage is not too long but all par 3's are tough & mid -long par 4's make you think & observe the layout(especially for the first time players) to right choice of club. I think after aeration of greens (fairways already done) will be very challengeble course.

I agree with the last lady. Shorecliffs Golf Course is a smokin deal and great value for the money. Does eveyone forget that we just had nearly 30+ inches of rain. Even some of the most exclusive and high profile golf courses such as La Costa were closed for days after the rains. Guess what Shoreclifffs kept on trucking along.

I know someone that works for the management company that leases Shorecliffs and he told me that Shorecliffs is not for sale and that they will continue making improvements once the weather gets better.

We should all be so lucky that we do not own a golf course during this terrible rain season. Lets let the professionals do their job and as golfers lets enjoy the fruits of their labor. I can tell you that our friends at Shorecliffs have not lost sight of the fact that they will remain committed to providing an affordable golf alternative.

I have been playing Shorecliffs since 1985 and have no intention playing elsewhere.

ShoreCliffs is in great shape. The superintendent there has been doing a great job keeping the course in good condition with all this rain. ShoreCliffs GC does not drain well and fortunately they have been able to keep the course very playable for the last few months. ShoreCliffs is a low cost course and you can't expect the place to look like other high fee courses in the area. The rain has definitely help the course but at times it makes it very difficult for the maintenance staff to get its work done efficiently. For the cost, ShoreCliffs is one of the best courses for the money. I don't understand how people have such high expectations for a $30 green fee.

It's wet out there, but the greens are fine...cartpath only which adds to the time for the round, however we played in 4 and half, which isn't bad...Good experience.

Not quite sure which golf course KGB played. I played Shorecliffs Golf Course over the holidays and it is in the best condition I have ever seen it (I have been playing Shorecliffs since 1989). You can't believe the changes since this time last year, the management company "Pacific Golf Enterprises" brought in a new fleet of carts, new golf course maintenance equipment and are in the process of improving the bunkers. I enjoy playing this golf course so much I purchased a "Fun Pass" which allows me to play unlimited golf for the whole year. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to Orange County's best kept secret.
