Good course. played last month in the Turks tournament and was pleased with the conditions. It looks like the championship tee box on #3 is nearing completion and the greens are rolling tru and fast.

Huh, course is in much better shape than the last 2 guys allude to although I feel sorry for the guy who teed off early in the am w/o flags/poop on the greens? Anywho, played yesterday at 9:20 (Sat.) and yes, there are a few unleveled tee boxes and the par 5 tee box on the back 9 is the worst but other than that, they are pretty decent. The worst part about the course was the condition of the sand (if you could call it that???). This course has GREAT conditioned/soft greens with very few ball marks. The greens rolled very true as well. Decent fairways to hit out of and definitely tight fairways as well. This course is NOT as bad as the last 2 guys said and definitely works in a pinch (just stay out of the sand).

I thought the beach was up the street a couple more miles...not worth regular rate. Get a discount, I did and would not pay over $25 (W/end). Starter was cool, that was a change.

WOW! Was this place ever awful.

I got out 1st thing in the AM as a Single – I am thinking “good, a 2 hour round”. No pins on the greens. Finally, on #2 green, the maintenance guy goes zooming past me with pins. I get to #3 tee, and he is seated in his cart. I tee my ball, step back to line up, and THEN he gets out of the cart and moves the red and white tee markers right in front of me. For the next three holes, I wait on every shot while he moves the hole or moves tee markers.

Finally, on #5, I am able to get past him. No pins again, but better than waiting for him. But, on #5 green, it is a sea of Rabbit Poop. On #5,6,7 I don’t putt out, as there is too much rabbit poop on the green. Just pick up and go on.

Only good thing, I was playing fast again. Until I got to #11 and ran into the people playing the back 9 only. After 10 minutes waiting on #11 tee, I headed over and played #18 and then quit and went in to work 2 hours early. It was that bad.

Condition wise - yuck. Practice your sidehill and up/down hill lies, you need them on every tee box. If a green isn't full of rabbit poop, then it is full of unrepaired ball marks.

On a scale of 1-10, this place rates a Zero. However, I did see more rabbits than I have ever seen before.

In fact I played July 3rd and it was NOT in great shape. It was not even in good shape. I wouldn’t say it was bad as tscsb says but it was definitely not how your describe it. I think this web site needs to have a way for people to see how many times a user has posted feedback and which courses they have posted feedback on. I think unless people can see how credible a person posting feedback is, course employees or others with special interests will always try to post bogus crap.

Went out as a single on July 4th and was pleasantly surprised. The course was in great shape and the greens were near perfect. I have many friends that play Shorecliffs on a regular basis and have not tried for myself. I finally got tired of getting gouged by other golf courses in the area.

Kris in the golf shop really take care of me as I did not have a tee time. He got me right out. Teed of at 8:00 a.m. and was in the bar by 12:15 have my first frosty beer. Sure there are fancier places with nicer ammeneties but I choose to play a golf course that offers value and quality.

I am also an E-Mail club member and I recieved a special that included a hot dog with my round of golf.
