Went out this morning to take advantage of the birthday deal. They've changed it this year so it's $25 if you are just a single (free if you bring paying players with you, who get the "member" birthday rates). Still, it's a heck of a deal, including cart, range balls and a meal. I got there super early as a walk-on. They put me with another single and we teed off at 6:15. The guy I played with was as fast a player, too, so we zoomed through the course and were finished by 8:30. I enjoyed a free breakfast sandwich and drink from the snack bar afterward and it was tasty. The staff here is always super nice, especially the starter today.

I wish my birthday weren't in August because I never quite get this course in peak shape. Conditions were solid, but they are doing a lot of maintenance around the course right now. There were several huge patches of rough that were completely cut out and looks like they'll be dropping in some new sod soon. Several bunkers were closed (marked as GUR) and were being redone. They were also trimming all the palm trees, so many had huge piles of dead fronds and debris underneath. The place definitely looks a bit "under construction" right now. Beyond that, the tee boxes were good. The fairways had plenty of brown spots and some thin areas, but were still very nice to hit from. Perfectly playable. Rough a bit patchy with some bare areas and some super lush areas, too. In the bunkers that were open, the sand was nice, but super damp and heavy that early in the morning. The greens were the highlight as they were in excellent shape. Smooth and quick, especially once they started drying out a bit. You do not want to be above the hole here!!!

Only complaint about the greens was some of the pin placements were really tucked to the back edges and borderline illegal. I counted off one that was only three paces to the edge and I think some were even tighter than that. With these big, sloping greens here, it seems unfair and unnecessary to set the holes up like that.

I do think the course is way overpriced normally and the layout has never excited me that much. Solid Ted Robinson course with a few memorable holes like #11 and #18. Good, but not great in my opinion. However, with the awesome birthday deal and the way they treat you here when you do come out, I do commend management for creating a very guest-friendly environment.

came out for my birthday round on a sunday and teed off at 6:10 am. course was in good shape with greens running around 9 as a little wet all day. fairways were nice and traps were a little wet since i was dewsweeping. greens were very soft all day and had to play for extra backspin with wedges. overall great day!

Played on my birthday, which is the best deal going by far, on May 2. Free round, free bucket of balls, free lunch. The course is fun to play - lots of tiered greens, great conditioned bunkers, fairways and tee boxes. The greens are firm and in good shape. I'd recommend it. It's a bit pricy but it's VERY walkable and only $60.00 to walk. Very nice.

Being first off, there is a lot of maintainence people to deal with, which is rather distracting, but that's the price of teeing off so early. I like this course, just think it is way over priced.

Played here twice on my birthday. Once in the early morning and then did a replay afternoon round. First round finished in sub 4 hours. Second afternoon round was right at 4:15 pace of play.

Overall the course is in great condition. The greens have recovered well from punching and are running much better. I wouldn't mind if they were cut and rolled.. but I like super fast greens. Love the challenge.

Fairways are in good condition. A few spots were marked as G.U.R. but I expect that in all courses and expect courses to mark the spots that need work.

Tee boxes were perfect... Pace of play perfect... Service perfect...Great way to celebrate my birthday.

Played 03/08, the course offers Bday golf for $25 plus range balls and a free lunch, great deal. The place was a complete ghost town because of the threat of rain. I played as a single, blew through the front nine in 1 hr 30 min (that's walking ,carrying my own bag) back nine same thing, finished in 3 hrs. The course conditions were good, tee boxes over seeded and perfect, fairways dormant (you really need to like tight lies), greens punched with sand filled holes, bumpy and slow. Although they did roll okay. The 3-5 footers for par were a guessing game on how the ball would react. They need a good 3-5 weeks to fully recover. All in all for $25 you can't find a better deal anywhere.

A buddy and I walked the course carrying our bags. It's a birthday round so each of us paid $40 to share the guest charge ($80 for Friday). Loved the course - nice layout and great greens. The fairways are yellow (expected at this time of the year) but trimmed well at the boundary between the fairway and rough - No first cut though. Even though it does not have much elevation changes, the terrain posts challenges to those who likes to carry their own bags.

Three things I like most about this course

1. Golf shop staff are the most courteous staff members I have met in public courses. They have sincere desire to help making the round joyful experience for the players.
2. Fairway bunkers have plenty of soft white sands. Very well maintained and nice to watch from the tee
3. Greens are rolled nicely; they are fast and break true. Probably because we started early, no ball or spike marks at all.

To be improved.

1. (with the nicest fairway bunkers) What happened to the green side bunkers? Maybe the head pro just hates green side bunkers or what? Some of those had almost no sand and unplayable.
2. Several tee area on the back nine are hard and uneven; had almost no grass and hard to push a tee down. The tee of the par 3 11th is absolutely the worst.

We like the course. However, paying the rack rate may be a little hard to justify.

Played twilight for my brother's birthday round and was surprised how nice everything was. Got out right on time and POP was 4 1/2 hours. Did not care for the fairways. They are dormant bermuda and very thin. Takes some getting used to and hard to hit short chip shots off of. Greens were smooth with some divot damage mainly from poorly repaired divots. The greens are nothing like the putting green, putting green is lightning fast. Sand traps were perfect with soft white sand, fairway trap on first hole was so soft that you could see the dimples of the ball in the sand. Staff is great and provide a high level of customer service.

The check in smooth. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Went to the range and hit my free bucket to warm up ( well sort of) on a very cold morning. We hit from mats and then putted for a few minutes before we tee'ed off. Very nice putting greens.
The tee boxes are in decent shape for winter. Mostly level and not beat up even the par threes.
The fairways are dormant brown Bermuda with decent runout but a little thin to hit from. About what I expected for this time of year.
I was in several bunkers and they had nice soft sand. A little wet from last nights rain.
The greens are in very nice shape. Smooth quick and almost mark free. Easily the best part of the course today.
I enjoyed the layout challenging but fair if you can hit some decent shots. I don't think this track is worth the weekend rack rate of $178.00! I will look for some discounts if I venture out here again.
