Excellent shape, tee boxes firm and pure, fairways firm and fast, green rolls nice and true. After my round I commented to the pro shop that the superintendent has done a great job conditioning course. I would pay the members fee of $55 not the $110 weekday fee. That's a little step for a round of golf.

It has always been a fun layout, employees are all friendly and nice, service is good, facilities are awesome and you expect that from the quality company that operates and manages Tustin Ranch. The course quality is good overall, but not the usual awesome I have grown to know over the last 8 years I have played there. I am sure that they will fix the situation as many courses in So Cal are fighting due to strange summer weather.

Played Friday, July 8, 2011. The biggest thing that stands out here is customer service. You feel like you are at an exclusive country club; (I would expect this level of service for the posted rack rates). Chris and Steve had a little trouble with their cart; they called and within minutes were in a new cart. We had a little trouble with our gps when we changed carts at the turn; a course marshal came out at the 11th tee to check that it was working properly. Lush conditions from tee to green. Lots of palm trees: tall and skinned as high as the heads. They frame nearly every green and landing zone. Sometimes you have challenge of negotiating shots around them. Speaking of landing zones, the fairways choke down to as narrow as 15 or 20 yards then widen back out making tee shots very challenging. Some forced carries over rough or water, as well as many elevation changes. Most of the greens had multiple tiers, making approach shots that much more challenging. Greens were soft but fast enough that you could not just ram putts at the holes. Good times had by our group.

Played Friday 7/8 with 3 other GK'ers. Had a GREAT time. First time playing the course. It was in fantastic condition, except for the bunkers. But given our recent rain might not be their normal condition nor the course's fault. Everything else was superb. Course has narrow fairways,challenging lay-out, and deviously convoluted greens. This means you have to be a willing participant in your game and not just slam the ball. I LOVED putting on these greens- fairly quick without being obscene, good breaks, velvet surface, challenging reads. Perfect putting surface! Customer service was excellent- everyone was friendly. Our cart had some problems and they brought us out another one even though we said we'd just pick one up on the turn. Nice! Decent pace- never felt like we were waiting too long. I will definitely play here again!

This is a very challenging golf course. Tight fairways with many blind shots. Course knowledge could really come in handy here. Fairways and greens were immaculate. The rough had patches of dead grass but not so bad it was unplayable.Sand was sometimes soft sometimes hard packed. The variety in the layout is what stands out to me. Each hole presents a new and different challenge. Lots of water with a few long carries to the green. Overall a great experience.

The best customer service i've seen on the golf course. Played on 5-31 (birthday round) and enjoyed every bit of it. Even though i played for free, everybody greeted me like i paid the full rate. Range balls and lunch is also included on your birthday. First time playing the course, so i was surprised how fun the layout was. Wish the course was alittle closer so i could come more often.

I played Tustin Ranch on May 10, 2011 at 9 am. It was my friends bday so he got to play for free and i got to play for members price(about $65). It was well worth it. The staff is awesome. The course is awesome. It Was in good shape. Im a 16 handicap and i thought it was a pretty challenging course. Most of the greens had levels so if you didn't putt it hard enough your ball wouldn't make it up the slope and roll back down. The fairways are thin but very good. Tee boxes were level. I think everybody who loves golf like i do should play this course. You won't regret it!

Fairways were tight and firm-lot of roll, greens were soft and held, no ball marks, putts rolled true but a little on the slow side, tee boxes were all level and sand was OK. Definite replay.

Played 4/11/11. Been several years since I played here, and realized it is a course I should play more often. Nice layout, good variety of holes and scenic. My only pinch was with the design of some of the par 4 holes. Holes have fairways which narrow, sometime extremely, and have sand bunkers at the typical landing area. If you can fly your driver a straight 260 plus, you will be able to score very well here. Just fly the narrow landing area, and take advantage of hard fairways to get plenty of roll. You'll be hitting wedges into greens on many holes. Condition of fairways was dissapointing. I think they are bermuda and were dry, hard and thin. Virtually impossible to take a divot. Greens were nice, and rolling well. Pin placements can be tough, as most greens have at least a couple of tiers, so getting on right level is key.Service was good.
