Played Tustin Ranch Golf Club two weeks ago with kviser, cpennbo and sbogey. I loved the layout, conditions of the greens, fairways and tee boxes. The greens rolled smooth, had good speed for this time of year and held shots beautifully. The fairways were lush, cut tight and firm. The tee boxes lush and groomed nicely. Regarding the rough, on the front nine it was rather dried out and brown at times but on the back it was in much better condition. The only let down for me was the quality of sand in most of the bunkers as it was very firm and hard packed. Interestingly on the 14th hole, the fairway bunkers had beautiful “Augusta White” sand so maybe they are in the process of improving the sand traps?

Overall, this is a terrific golf experience. If I lived in Orange County I would consider a membership because the green fees would be a steal. Plus you’d have a hard time getting bored playing it over and over because it is such a diverse interesting layout. Got to say also, the service was top-notch and the clubhouse food I had before my round was excellent. Great pace of play as we finished in about 4 hrs. I’ll be back for another round for sure.
