Played this course for first time today, and will definitely be back. After hearing all the horror stories about how difficult and slow this course was, I found out two things.

Played this course for first time today, and will definitely be back. After hearing all the horror stories about how difficult and slow this course was, I found out two things.
1. Keep it in the short stuff. +13 when wild, -2 when in fairway.
2. Pace was great. 4:10 for a mid-day 3 some. Marshall was on top of things, even helpfull in finding lost balls.

Friendly staff, good price, & challengeing course make this a great combination!!

Played a super twilight on June 11, the day before the U.S. Open. Exceptionally tough pin placements, often tucked in the back or front corner about 3 to 4 paces from the fringe. Maybe they were inspired by the U.S. Open or wanted to place some PGA pins. Good conditions overall, finished in just over 4 hours.

The course has never looked better. The rough was pretty long - actually, it was really long - but - that's golf! As long as you keep it in the fairway at Westridge - you won't be punished. Greens were as nice and consistent as any around. Started at 7:59 AM - finished in just under four hours - on 4/30/03

Our foursome played the course yesterday with a start time of 1130Am. We finished in 4 hours and the green were rated at 8.0. The course was in good condition. The green fee was great being 50% off (thru Golf Extra). Knowing how the grass grains go (just like Kapalua courses) will help alot in keeping 3 putts away. Staff are quite nice. Course is worth coming back.

Brian, et. al. - I have a cure for slow play at Westridge! BUY A FREAKIN' ALARM CLOCK AND GET AN EARLY STARTING TIME!! We had a foursome today, tee'd off at 7:00 A.M. - never saw the group in front of us - never got pressed from behind - finished 18-holes in 3-hours and 56 minutes....course in immaculate condition after the recent rains - lush, green - greens held every club well - and the greens are undulating and tough to read. Many three-putts caused scores to inflate - but - if your putting is ON - this is a place where you can score well. My round was 50%-off (18-holes for $27.50) thanks to www.golfextracard.com - which, next to Greenskeeper.org is my favorite website!!

FIRST OF ALL, I WOULD LIKE TO RECANT MY PREVIOUS COMMENTS ABOUT THIS COURSE. PLAYED SUNDAY 3-1-03 & TODAY IS WEDNESDAY 3-05-03... IT HAS TAKEN ME THIS LONG TO REPORT ON THIS COURSE BECAUSE I WAS SO THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED WITH IT. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WAS GOING TO BE BAD WHEN THE STARTER WAS TALKING ABOUT PLAYING "BLACK GOLD" LATER & NOT HIS OWN COURSE. INCONSIDERATE GOLFERS PLAYING FROM THE BLUE THAT COULDN'T GET IT PAST THE RED. NOBODY FIXED DIVOTS ON ANY GREEN. PILES OF GRASS CLIPPINGS EVERYWHERE. HAD TO WAIT ON EVERY HOLE. IT TOOK 5 HOURS TO PLAY 16 HOLES & DIDN'T SEE A MARSHAL UNTIL THE 13TH. AND HE JUST DROVE BY. THIS COURSE HAS GONE TO COMPLETE CRAP! I WILL NOT BE BACK AND I WOULD ADVISE OTHERS TO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PLAY ANYWHERE EXCEPT HERE.
