Played on 4/17/25, buddy booked foursome for $54 w/cart so I can’t complain about the price. They just put new sand in the bunkers on the front 9 and were fixing some on the back so hopefully soon they’ll all be pretty good. Fairways were very over grown, didn’t really benefit you most of the time. Some green side areas were kept up pretty nice. Greens were punched but still rolled mostly fine but there were a lot of greens with a lot of pitch marks that weren’t fixed. Tee boxes are pretty uneven and some are torn up pretty good. Very narrow, gotta keep your drives straight or you definitely will lose a couple balls. Pace of play was fine. I’m not sure if they recently changed the course layout but the scorecard here on greens keeper isn’t the same as the course.

Sunday round with three friends and gorgeous views of the recently snowed-in mountains throughout the day - good times. We played from the blue tees and rode (don't think you're allowed to walk this hilly course?). Got an online rate of $78 per person and that was more than fair.

Conditions are pretty good across the board right now at Westridge (especially after the recent rains but having had enough time for them to dry out). The greens are most certainly the highlight as they're really nice right now. Green complexes are pretty tricky to be honest so you've got to get your lines and speed dialed in or it's going to be a rough day.

Fairway coverage is mostly good in the right areas but there are a good amount of dirt areas just before the fairways so it's imperative to have a strong tee game right now. Still found some thin spots here and there as well but overall not too bad. Rough varied from spot to spot and there are a lot of native areas where you can pick up and move. Bunkers were generally okay - not terrible, not great. Tee boxes were mostly good so no major complaints there.

No cart service all afternoon and POP wasn't fantastic but nothing overwhelmingly bad either. The carts are nice but do not have any GPS functionality so it's really important here to have a rangefinder with slope - lots and lots of elevations and strategic shots required. Some very narrow holes too - the first two shots on the uphill par 5 2nd hole are some of the tightest you will ever find.

Course layout is definitely fun and engaging and when it's in good condition it's worth the drive.

Played this AM early and had POP of 3 H. Had not played here in some time and they finally got some nice new carts but no GPS so bring your own. Check in smooth and great service from shop and starter. Found the course to be damp so not a lot of roll in the fairways but they were lush and provided good lies. No issues with the tee boxes. Bunkers were playable but some of them need more sand in them and those can be a problem. Rough was deep outside of the fairways and you need good fairway management to avoid OB and side hills into other fairways. Greens were all clean and chipped/putted just fine with good speed to them. Would hold high shots and release but low shots would possibly bounch over the green. Rate is still $54 for all players and I feel that is a good rate for the current condition of this course. And it seems much more busier than in the past. Recommended.

An up and down course with average conditioning.
Sorry to say......a bit disappointing.
It might be another couple of years!

Played today. Course was still under CPO. Course conditions as you can imagine were not ideal. Fairways need mowing but are still to wet to accomplish. Tee boxes were all playable. Not so for the bunkers but that is to be expected with all the rain. Yikes is the best way to describe the rough. But the greens were very playable. Hopefully some warm days are ahead and the course can get itself back into shape. It was just nice to get out and play frankly. And Gina in the pro shop is great to deal with. Not ideal conditions but it beat sitting in the house.

Played Westridge this past weekend with my monthly golf group and was terrified to have another water-logged, rain-soaked and unkempt course to deal with which is what happened the last time we played here early in 2023.

Thankfully, despite still being CPO all afternoon), the course had dried out far better and there were actual fairways this time around instead of an extension from the rough all the way across the landing areas. This is not to say that there weren't still some wet or damaged areas, but nowhere near as bad as the expectation.

POP was pretty atrocious as we had an incredibly slow group in front of us, yet the marshall seemed to want to spend more time watching us hot on their heals all day. It was frustrating because we should not have had to rush the 18th hole with the darkness descending if the groups ahead of us had moved efficiently (we had an 11:30 tee time FTR).

We played from our customary white tees for this group and I was amazed at just how short this course plays, especially now that I have driver back in my bag. I think I only busted out the big dog on six or seven holes. But the layout is still pretty fun and Westridge has one of the tightest uphill par 5s you'll ever play on the front nine (depending on which way they switch the nines - always seems to depend on the day).

Greens were in good shape with some ball marks here or there but rolling pretty well and holding shots. Nothing too crazy. Some of the tee boxes were a little banged up and lacking proper grass but not the end of the world, and some of the bunkers still had standing water but even those that didn't were a bit too thin for great sand shots. Fairways definitely had some benefits from the rain and the rough was thick but not too penal.

It's not a bad course at all but I certainly hope the next time I find myself here it will actually be a warm, dry and sunny day because I always seem to come here just days after the Heavens open up.

Played this AM. Course is in relatively good shape. Especially the greens. No issue with any tee boxes. Fairways have good but not great coverage but do provide decent lies and plenty of roll out. But they are not lush like some courses and you will find some GUR areas at present. Rough is penal in all areas you encounter. Sand traps are the issue here presently. IMO they just do not have enough sand in them to get properly under the ball. And some of are muddy and in need of work. Greens were just great. I think I only fixed two ball marks other than my own. They are firm so you need a high shot to hold and it will release. And they are about 10 in speed. Gina in the pro shop is a pleasure to deal with and the cart guys and marshal are great as well. $54 for rate with cart is quite good given the prices around S CA.

Able to snag a first time off at 6:04AM for an online deal of two for $90. A good deal considering prices today. Although it was rather busy, no issues getting out on time. The greens were far and away the best part of the course. Nice pace and rolled well, and very receptive. The greens on the back nine had not been mowed, so obviously were not as quick or true. None of the bunkers had yet been raked, but the two I found did have adequate amount of sand. While the fairways had decent coverage, they needed to be cut which resulted in very little if any roll out, so the course played rather long this morning. There were also areas in the rough which looked like U S Open rough I have to admit that I thought the overall appearance of the course was kind of "scruffy". Enjoyed the round, but left somewhat disappointed

Played this AM. Course is in decent shape though wet in the early AM from watering in advance of heat. Never a problem with a tee box. Fairways have good coverage starting at about 100 yards out from Red tees through to green to conserve water. Some dried out faster than others to give some good roll out but they all provided good lies. Traps need work. Either more sand or dig them up and turn the sand as they are not club friendly (only negative on this course like many in S CA). Rough and OB areas are very penal. Greens are in very nice shape for chipping/putting and holding shots. Gina in the shop is great to deal with due to her great customer service. Starter as well. $54 for Sr rate is IMO a good deal.
