Our foursome played the course yesterday with a start time of 1130Am. We finished in 4 hours and the green were rated at 8.0. The course was in good condition. The green fee was great being 50% off (thru Golf Extra). Knowing how the grass grains go (just like Kapalua courses) will help alot in keeping 3 putts away. Staff are quite nice. Course is worth coming back.

Brian, et. al. - I have a cure for slow play at Westridge! BUY A FREAKIN' ALARM CLOCK AND GET AN EARLY STARTING TIME!! We had a foursome today, tee'd off at 7:00 A.M. - never saw the group in front of us - never got pressed from behind - finished 18-holes in 3-hours and 56 minutes....course in immaculate condition after the recent rains - lush, green - greens held every club well - and the greens are undulating and tough to read. Many three-putts caused scores to inflate - but - if your putting is ON - this is a place where you can score well. My round was 50%-off (18-holes for $27.50) thanks to www.golfextracard.com - which, next to Greenskeeper.org is my favorite website!!

IT HAS TAKEN ME THIS LONG TO REPORT ON THIS COURSE BECAUSE I WAS SO THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED WITH IT. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WAS GOING TO BE BAD WHEN THE STARTER WAS TALKING ABOUT PLAYING "BLACK GOLD" LATER & NOT HIS OWN COURSE. INCONSIDERATE GOLFERS PLAYING FROM THE BLUE THAT COULDN'T GET IT PAST THE RED. NOBODY FIXED DIVOTS ON ANY GREEN. PILES OF GRASS CLIPPINGS EVERYWHERE. HAD TO WAIT ON EVERY HOLE. IT TOOK 5 HOURS TO PLAY 16 HOLES & DIDN'T SEE A MARSHAL UNTIL THE 13TH. AND HE JUST DROVE BY. THIS COURSE HAS GONE TO COMPLETE CRAP! I WILL NOT BE BACK AND I WOULD ADVISE OTHERS TO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PLAY ANYWHERE EXCEPT HERE.

played a twilight round and play was exceptionally slow. to many players spending way to much time looking for lost balls. greens were in horrible condition due in part to inconsiderate golfers not fixing ball marks. course is very narrow and unforgiving. either you hit it straight or else kind of course. fairways are gorgeous but no matter what you will not have a level stance. even from the whites this was a frustrating round.

Played a birthday round (free) on Feb. 23rd. From tee to green, the course is in great shape. Greens were a little slow but that was expected considering the recent rainstorms. Lots of fun and challenging holes. The GPS system is outstanding. After I finished my round, the practice area and first tee-box was packed. I understood why considering all this course has to offer.

Broke out the clubs after several days of torrential rain. Played WestRidge yesterday (2/15/03) - even after all of the rain - the course was in terrific shape - must be great drainage, I think it's because of the hillside location of the course. It was "cart-path-only" - which was a bummer. The rough was "extremely" long (obviously they didn't mow them during the rain) - and - I learned something about wet/long rough: IT'S BRUTAL!! Shot a smooth "50" on the front (I have not had a round in the triple digits in 15 years!) Concentrated on hitting fairways on the back side - and had a 42! Greens slow and wet - but sunny days and a few good mowings and they will be top-grade again soon!

IT'S AMAZING A COURSE THIS NICE IS THIS CLOSE TO THE CITY. THE G.P.S IN THE CART REALLY TAKES THE GUESS WORK OUT OF WONDERING WHAT CLUB TO HIT. GIVE IT A SHOT.

Like I said last time I reviewd WestRidge, they offer a free round of golf on your birthday. Being cheap by nature, I could not pass up FREE golf, so - Monday (1/27) being my birthday, I took full advantage. The problem was that I went out as a single and ended up waiting on every shot for 5 hours. Not fun - but better than working. Greens were softer and slower than usual - I asked about that and was told that they are letting them gro a bit to get healthy - and will mow them tighter in February. Fairway lies are always great - not too fluffy - just long enough. This is a well-manicured golf course, and worthy of a try!

Tee'd off at 7:00am and played in 3hours and 20 min (4 players - walking) $40.00 senior rate makes this a good value! The greens were much slower than they appeared, but maybe that's because they were so wet still from the morning dew? Played the "new" black tees, which makes it a much better course. (however these tees are not yet rated!
