i felt like i was playing on a PGA Tour conditioned course.
this gem is still very new and like Angeles National, is a Nicklaus Design golf course. it's a breathtaking layout kept in amazing shape with a courteous staff and very affordable green fees. $80 in the palm springs region during the week is a nice price.

The marshall was very anoying. Very pushy with all groups on the course. The group before me told the marshall off. The marshall was pushy even with my foursome. We all shot in the 70's to low 80's.

I have been playing golf for 10 years in SoCal since moving from NJ. Escena is easily the best conditioned golf course I have ever played! For $65 you are treated to immaculate tee boxes, pristine fairways and great greens without any divots. Greens are firm and maintain the same speed on all 18. The only drawback is the sand traps are average due to the quality of the sand. You are exposed to the wind on this course making 17 and 18 very tough if its blowing. Escena is still new and they are building a clubhouse and will build homes around it. A drawback is no driving range. It is close by the Palm Springs Airport so you can see takeoffs and landings on many holes. This is a terrific track and I will be back in June to play it again.

Played on Thurs Mar 8 and Fri Mar 9. Really enjoyed this course. Conditions were fantastic. Every inch of the course is manicured and green. Bunkers are not great so stay out ofd them. Certainly not a hard course like some of the other newer ones, but after Silverrock and Classic Club, we really loved finishing here.

Very good condition. Well worth the $ and would certainly try and play it again. Good luck if it is windy. The only negatives would be there is not a lot of variety of holes and pace of play was very ... Continue »

Excellent course in perfect condition. Pretty straightforward fairways but greenside it is very challenging. Frontside is nearly 400 yards shoEat your breakfast before you arrive, no clubhouse yet and no snack bar. Winds kick up in theafternoon - affected baal flight by 30-40 yards.
