I love this course. It's worth the drive and the full price greens fee to play here. Great course...challenging but fair. It has been in fantastic condition since we started playing there in August.

I cannot recommend playing this course enough. The conditions are excellent from tee to green. Everything is set up perfectly. Just don't complain about not having a driving range...there is none so expect that before you come out. Book online and save extra money. Seriously...come out and play and you won't be disappointed.

When I called to book tee-time, I asked if there is anything we needed to know because of overseeding season or anything else.
They said golf course is in great shape.
NOT TRUE.
Because of overseeding, we had to play cart path only.
No Range (net only). Greens very very slow. I think they were a 6 or 7.
For me, the course is not ready. I'll give them 6 to 12 months before they see us again. So many great courses to choose from in Palm Springs/Desert area.

Played 11/5. The course is coming back nicely from overseeding. The fairways are smooth and let your ball run pretty good. The rough is almost non-existent as they seem to still be growing out. The greens are very slow compared to the summer time speeds but do roll very consistently and are butter smooth otherwise. It's cart path only until around Thanksgiving, so do yourself a huge favor and walk instead of carting..you will enjoy the course more and you won't be doing the army walk back and forth from the farside of the fairway back to your cart on the path. If you want to wait until the conditions are back to 100%, the always helpful staff told us come back around Thanksgiving...what a great thing to be thankful for!

No driving range--this is a major drawback. Greens were extremely slow due to overseeding. I am sure that will not be their permanent condition. Nice addition to the Palm Springs area courses.

Played on Sat at 11:30 still were a lot of people on course but pace of play was fine. Very interesting layout and very enjoyable course.

I trust this web site,played Escena Thursday, LUCKY ME ! Fun course,easy at times,generous fairways,tough approach shots to SMOOTH greens, {see Terra Lago}, bunkers are perfect,lots of em,par 3's are long and fun,some of the best looking people working there,rivals San Louis Ray,but there is bad news. They are vera cutting the fairways and they are doin all kinds of work as I write this. I think for a month or 2 its not going to be a great place to visit. The Palm Spgs guys said that for a month or 2 no place in the area will be worth much as the weather is changing,fairways and greens are going to be punched. So, lucky Me.. Prices go up after Oct 8th,wait till someone says the place is back to normal, its a great way to spend the day. I will be back soon.

Played 9/23. Do yourself a huge favor and come out to play this course. It is in great condition. The fairways are nice and clean. The greens roll true and fast. Although, it would take a very high ball to stick on the green -- they aren't completely receptive to lower struck balls. The 18th green is a definitely risk-reward par 5. Beautiful surroundings and the staff is excellent. No driving range to warm up...but you should utilize the putting green as it is a great indication of how fast the greens are on the course. Hurry up and play here before all the houses start popping up and ruin the desert atmosphere.
