To be fair, this place is still coming back after receiving a hammering from the rain in December.

The fairways are still thin with lots of re-sodded areas - those have almost grown in. Rough is spotty and dormant. Tees are generally good although one or two were lumpy and beaten up. Sand was good to firm and a tad thin around the greens. In the fairway traps nothing more than hard-packed mud with rocks.

Greens were good although a tad bumpy at times with occasional uneven speed - generally medium throughout.

Probably fair condition overall - 6 to 6.5 I'd say.

this course is very challenging. conditions - decent. cart path on 1 and 2. the rest was open. there were still some muddy patches. greens were fast and hard to get a good read. fairway had patches of bare spots but overall enjoyable.
distance info from cart gps seems a little suspect and dont match the sprinkler yardages.
will definitely go back.

Played 1/7. Cart path only and by the looks of it, will remain for awhile. The surrounding hills are still seeping water onto the course. Very soggy in quite a few areas. Not as lush as usual but still a playable course. Greens were in great shape and surprisingly, so were most of the bunkers. You can readily see the water drainage damage and all the work being done to make repairs. Carts in fairways would only exasperate the problem and destroy the turf. Staff is great as usual and the grille has outstanding food.

What a great course. The course a was in pretty bad shape because of the storms but they are definitely out there working on it. The layout of the course is great with some great views of the course and valley. Tee boxes weren't as good as I thought they would be, par 3's had lots of divots and quite a few weren't very level. Fairways and rough were decent but really soggy in lots of areas from the rain and flooding. Greens were absolutely amazing. Minimal ball marks and rolled perfect. One huge downside was cart path only, completely understandable but exhausting. I had a great time though and hopefully the course dries out and heals good soon. I will be back but maybe wait a couple months. Oh yeah, customer service was top notch!

Played Eagle Glenn on 12/30/2010, what a disappointment. We arrived to find they were charging holiday rates all week, no mention of this when I made the reservation or in the email flier. To make matters worse they made us go out as a 5, can you say 6 1/2 hr round. As if all of that wasn't bad enough, you could not find a dry lie on any fairway and the bunkers were water or mud hazards. When we completed the round we looked like we had been to a mud wrestling contest rather then golfing. The course was in such poor shape I'm not sure why they would even allow play ($$) in this condition. It will be a long time before I return to Eagle Glen..

This course has taken a bit of a beating from all the rains - not sure there is much the ground crew can do as the hillsides adjacent many fairways are just weeping water. #1, 2, 3 & 16 were particularly wet and times not very playable. Cart path only as a result (and probably because of that no one os filling in there divots so there's a lot of divot damage on the fairways, along with a lot of re-sodding. Not sure what previous reviewers were thinking as a perfect illustration of how much the course has suffered are the washed-out, temporary cart paths on 15, 16, 17.

Rough is mainly dormant but it's inconsistent as there is also some thin lies and some real fluffy new growth - the dormant parts are very spongy and extremely difficult to hit from.

Tee boxes have taken a pounding here and there too with a lot of divot marks.

Greens were good, but a bit slower than normal, somewhat bumpy and inconsistent speed-wise (no doubt due the drainage problems).

Worth the discount greens fee but probably not full rate.

Played Tuesday morning. A little late teeing off not a big deal. CPO as expected. Played in 4.5 and waited a bit. Greens were great. Fairways a little long in spots but not bad. Lots of sod planted in the fairways but did not affect play. Greens were great.

#2 had some mud and water damage. But did not affect play. Great day.

Just played Eagle Glen this morning and had a great time! After reading the previous poster's comments, I was a little aprehensive to keep my tee time. I have to say that I agree with him on the comments about the staff being great, but I'm not really sure where he was coming from with the comments about the actual golf course. Here is my review of all aspects of the course:
Greens - Fast, firm, and true. NO BARE SPOTS. Minimal pitch marks (which our group helped out to fix a couple on every hole)
Fairways - Good grass coverage although a little wet in low areas. As far as the comment in the previous post about the grass being dead....not true! It is bermuda grass that is begining to go dormant....it's a big difference! It is starting to brown a bit because they didn't overseed (which I was told you can't do every year) but it did NOT affect playability.
Rough - Read comments about fairways
Bunkers - Was only in a 2 bunkers today (both greenside) and they were fantastic.
Tee Boxes - Level with good grass coverage.
Beer Cart - Saw the beer girl 5 times!

Overall- I highly recommend getting out to play Eagle Glen! I am a 3 handicap and my Dad is a 20 and we both really enjoyed the layout.

Played Saturday, 12/04 at 11:00. Round lasted 5 hours, saw the beverage cart three times. Every member of the staff I dealt with was very friendly and accommodating, which was great; one of the most exceptional customer service experiences I've had on a golf course to date. The clubhouse was beautiful and luxurious, and the restaurant had great food and drinks. There were amazing views of the local mountains and valleys throughout the round. Okay, now comes the hard part: The course was, in my opinion, terrible. My twosome was paired up with a member, who stated that the course purposely decided not to overseed this year. It really showed in the course condition. Fairways were mostly dormant/dead, with many bare areas and mostly muddy lies. The rough was similar to the fairways, just a little fuller. Bunkers were either hardpan or mud, with a few rocks in the mix as well. Greens were running at about an 11, really fast, but only because they were very hard and bare in spots. They rolled somewhat true, but had a few bumps and unrepaired pitch marks. The majority of the back nine, from tee to green, was covered in duck feces; there was even a dead duck in the middle of one of the fairways which appeared to have been there for a while. Putting through duck poop isn't very fun, and cleaning it off your shoes, clubs and ball is a chore. The layout of this course is already very difficult, with many forced carries, abundant uneven fairway lies, undulating greens and some holes that were designed to be just plain hard; the unfortunate course conditions put the difficulty of play for me over the top. I am a 20 hcp, so take this review with a grain of salt if you are a better player...you may have a much better time than I did. Ultimately, I just could not score well out there, and even though the customer service experience was amazing, I will not be returning.
