Super slow tournament held us at the start untill 45 min after our tee times were for. once on the course played in 3 hrs and 20 min. a bit windy. i think all the rock they took out of oak quarry went into the sand bunkers at the glen. very dissapoint in the traps for a course that charges that much..

Played on Tuesday December 26. Played with a RedDot for only $40 which is a heck of a deal for this course. Fairways were brown and the rough is a lot greener, which gave the course an odd look. Even though the fairways are brown, the grass is just dormant and is playing very nice. The rough is a little thin, but not too bad. The greens are in excellent condition and roll nice and are somewhat fast. If I ever figure out how to putt on these greens I'll be dangerous. The traps are very hard, and I was disappointed. The 17th hole had plenty of sand, I should know because of how deep my ball buried in it from my tee shot. The starter could use some lessons on how to do his job, he told us to wait on the practice green for 5 minutes and he would com and get us when it was time to tee off, after 15 minutes we searched him out and he had already sent the twosome we were to play with out, he had us jump in front of the foursome on the tee and hit into the twosome in the middle of the fairway on the first hole. I think there was some select four letter words sent our way. The starter did admit that he "f'd' up. Our cart ran out of electricity on the 15th hole and it took the clubhouse until the 17th tee box to get us a new cart.

Greens great, fast , tees coming around fairways nice and tight, always a treat, on the 5 must play list in So Cal, staff was helpful as usual, money well spent

I love this course but a little disappointed yesterday. Greens were fast with too many ball marks. Sand traps were mud due to over watering. Tee boxes were okay, some under repair. There are some visible bare spots around the course. When it gets lush again this course plays 8.0. Not complaining playing on a beautiful golf day.

As a regular weekday player there in years past, I really enjoy playing this course.

On that day, the starter was friendly but the people on the course were not. A threesome behind us passed our group as well as the group ahead. With this, the group directly behind them accused us of skipping ahead of them while we were all stuck at the first par 3 on the front nine. This same group then calls the marshall on us. What a trip.

I will never play there on a Sunday ever again. They tee off too many people for a Sunday and the people who play there on Sunday are really rude.

Played today for the first time. I really enjoyed this course. Played the black tees. Yardage is 6930 but plays shorter, aside from the 650 yard par 5 on the back and a 477 yard par 4. I only hit driver once on the front nine. The layout is great, aside from the 2nd hole. It's a very short par 4 heading up into the hills with fairway so uneven and mounded it's impossible to get a flat lie. Couple that with a blind uphill shot to a postage stamp green surrounded by environmental hazzard - nearly unfair. Conditions were good and as stated the panoramic views are incredible. It certainly helps to have some local knowledge as there are some blind shots and strategically placed hazards that can be avoided. All in all its a fair test of golf that will yield some scoring if you don't play too agressively.

EGGC has a very nice layout & friendly staff. The panorama is awesome; greens and fairways are OK; but playing it on a Sunday afternoon (1pm TT) is just not worth it. It is too slow and the worst part is our golf cart broke twice...a flat tire & a dead battery!

12:30 p.m. start on a Thursday. Weather was fine. Need to hit it straight as there is OB on most of the narrow holes. You finally get a break on the back 9, where you can actually hit into the rough and find your ball. Gold tees were playing short on many holes. Fairways in good condition. Greens still recovering from aeration couple weeks ago - a little bit sandy, very hard, but slower than you'd expect. Busy day so the cart batteries were not fully charged. Had to wait some on most holes; finished in about 5 hours. Guys behind us were impatient; hit into us a few times as we waited for the green to clear. On 18, I finally learned from previous trips here: laid up on my 2nd shot to about the 150 marker, hit the green on my 3rd, and two-putted for a par to finish on a positive note.

The condition of the course reflects the recent punching and overseeding of the greens. Despite the terrible putting surface, it was still a golf experience worth the $35 green fee (on-line price)... but definitely not worth the regular green fee otherwise. The view is beautiful, lots of wildlife, elevation changes, definitely a well designed course.
