Played 6/20 and the conditions were acceptable, but a bit uncharacteristic for this course. The greens seemed a lot faster than in the past, however they were holding shots very well. They were somewhat bumpy at times, though. Great layout and a lot of interesting holes.

Played Hidden Valley on Saturday morning and was disappointed in the current condition of the course. Last time I played Hidden Valley, about 4 months ago, it was in excellent condition. Not sure what is happening here but it needs attention. The greens were in very good condition but slow. The rest of the course if poor. The fairways have several bare spots and lots of divits. The rough is thin with may bare spots. The tee boxes are, well in need of attention. The sand traps are almost bare. Very thin and poor quality. Fairway yardage markers are hard to find. For an upscale premier course Hidden Valley is going dawn hill. The layout is fantistic with great views and challenging course layout. Hope management takes a look at their greens keeper staff.

This is a great golf course. It really forces you to be accurate as any miss hit would result in an OB shot!! Other than that, and the fact the the greens has just been aerated, the golf course is in great conditions. The pace of play was great (3 and a half hours for a threesom - but I was advised not to expect the same pace during sundays, when it can go up to 5 and a half hours) accompanied by a great view and beautifull landscape. By far one of the best golf courses that I played in SoCal.

Fun course. Tricky layout. The greens were just punched and sanded as noted, so you can't take putting too seriously for a while. NO GPS or yardage book available, which is crazy for a course like this with so many blind tee shots, doglegs, and elevation changes. I think they're trying to make me buy a skycaddie. Conditions are very good from tee to green.

As lush and in as good condition as I've ever seen this course. The only shortcoming is the driving range and allegedly a new one is forthcoming. There are a couple of holes where a blind tee shot can "bite" you, but overall as nicely conditioned a course as there is in the area.

This course really tested my driving ability.....and I don't mean necessarily driving a golf ball. Driving the golf cart around this course is an adventure....there must be 1/4 mi to 1/2 mile drive between the greens to the next tee....and the drive is up and down over and around and directions to the next tee are not clearly marked....We overshot some tee boxes or got a little lost a few times having to put the cart in reverse..etc...One tip the cart attendant said the course is changing the batteries on the carts....and this proved true as we ran out of "juice" on the climb from the 12th to the 13th tee...had to call clubhouse and wait 15 minutes to get anew cart.....so change carts after 9 holes

We played on Thu 5/10/07 and had a 10:00A tee time showed up around 9:15 and the course was totally empty ....so we got off early as a twosome ....saw only two other golfers the whole round

Beautiful golf course lush fairways, excellent greens, and breathtaking scenery on many holes....lots of elevated tee shots and most holes have doglegs some about 90*....so you really need to know your way around this course....there are selection of about 4 tee boxes you can play from....we played the Blue which is second from the furthest back ....you need to consider the tees you want to play from as there are a lot of carries off the tee and from the fairway that you need to hit over ravines and dry creek areas....bring plenty of balls.

At a $45 Senior rate this course is a steal compared to OC courses....It took me under a 1/2 hour to get there from Anaheim Hills area.....Now that I have some course knowledge look forward to playing again

The course offers really outstanding views of the surronding area, including most of the course. It seems that you play every hole uphill and plays longer. Web site said the carts had GPS so, left the Sky Caddie home, get to the course only to find that GPS was removed over a year ago. How about updateing the web site and some fairway markes would have been nice (did have red, white and blue lines painted on the cart path) and yardage was available on sprinkler heads. Grassing cutting must have taken place recently when the grass was still wet, hugh clumps of cut grass everywhere, even on greens. Overall a very demanding course, my A game was more like a C+, but we did enjoy the day (but then I enjoy everyday I get on any golf course) , would play again. Oh, yeah LOOK AT MAP on score card for 1st hole, I didn't and lost a shoot shooting towards the 17th tee box.

Played here on Saturday for the first time. The course is in very nice conditions with a few bare spots on teh fairway. The fairways were lush offered great lies. The greens were of average to fast speed and had many ball marks in some areas but were very playable. The t boxes were nice and the sand was a little hard. Did I mention the rough? I play to about a 13-14 and got killed with this rough, especially around the greens. Do not short side yourself or you will pay. The rough was in full form Saturday and it really hurt my score. Also you need to be pretty straight around this course or you will be in this aformentioned rough or o/b and additng strokes. Dont come here expecting to shoot your low score, it is a tough test of golf. But the conditions will bring me back as they are doing a nice job here- Thumbs up to the greenskeeper!- Starter a very nice guy too .

Played 4/7. Course was very wet. Numerous fairways showed tire damage from the carts. People need to start respecting courses and not drive up step parts of the fairways when they're soggy. Some other fairways were showing very thin spots along with some greens. Overall, I don't know if paying $80 weekend primetime is worth it for the conditions. But the overall challenge of the course was excellent -- forced carries on first and second shots will truly test you. And some of the best non-ocean views you will get in the IE. Recommended but not for the full weekend primetime rate.
