this course could not be more fun to play.. We played mid morning during the week, so take that into account while reading this review. For $45, I drive 35 miles and have a smile on my face. The course is gorgeous, some of the cart paths have switch backs because of some drastic altitude changes, and you will not walk this course, period. Some of the drives batween greens and tees must be almost a half a mile. But because of this, you rarely see other golfers. (In my experience) If this course was in mission viejo, it would probably be in the $150 range. You better have your tee shots straight and play it smart or you will need a lot of balls.

We played this course on 24 Feb. and found it in great condition for winter playing conditions. The greens were smooth but a little hard and slow. The sand in the bunkers was a little hard and thin. The fair ways are in good condition for winter play. The tee boxes were good but a little uneven. Overall a great course to play. The restaurant and pro shop staff were professional and friendly. I would recommend GPS systems for the carts and/or better yardage markers. This is a tough course for high handicappers but fun to play. We will be back.

The faiways were nice and green, there was not to much sand in the bunkers but I was only in two. The greens were somewhat slow but putting was not a problem once I adjusted. Overall, very scenic course, very friendly staff, and I definitely will return.

Have not been here in a couple of years but decided to try again after reading recent reviews. Played 2/18 with 2 for 1 coupon and really enjoyed the layout. Very challenging from blues especially if you don't know the course. After 1st couple of blind tee shots chose to use 3 wood a lot b/c shorter and straight is way to go here. Note despite what this website says there is no GPS and correct distances to hazards and end of fairway critical to avoid lost balls. Fairways and greens in good shape, however, tee boxes very uneven and the bunkers really bad with hard packed dirt and 0 sand. Still worth playing with some impressive views from elevated tees. Bring extra balls! o

I heard they was closing this course after all those scandals etc. Plus it's prime Real estate for homes. Glad to hear it's staying open and under new management. I played that course twice, and it was in great shape but very challenging, to me atleast. You must be a good driver of the golf ball or you will be in for a long day.. Fun hitting over some of the canyons when your ball striking is working well. Course says Norco but it's on the border of Corona/Norco city limits.

If you ever have a good experience it will be during the week because if you go on the weekend, they are terrible.

Tournament round today. 9:30 AM tee time, had breakfast, good ham and egg sandwich. Went to practice putting, 5 groups backed up on first tee, don't know why they put these people on when tournament was supposed to start. Finally got off at 10:10, 5+ hr round. The group that started 2 ahead of our first group stopped for lunch after 9, then they got on 10th tee as we were finishing the 9th, told them they were in middle of tournament, they pretended not to understand English (Duh!). Never did see a marshall on the course. Anyway, course is getting it color back, fairways and greens. They were all in decent shape. Tee boxes were uneven with lots of divots, fairways had some divots with no sand filler, and ran about 5 yds, greens were slow and bumpy with ball marks (practice green by 1st tee was fast), bunkers were all packed dirt no sand at all. Would rate the course around 6-7 out of 10.

Dont usually rate courses these days,, but Hidden Valley is back ! Played 1/11.early, no crowd, looked like rain,no rain. New Management is doing a great job, course is in terrific shape, this is is not an easy property to keep nice, Greens are almost a 10, everything is much better than we remembered. New GM was not happy with conditions, we advised they were fine, he has higher expectations. This is a tough but fair test. We always liked to come here, now we will add to the rotation once again. Senior rate $45 is worth every penny. Example,, Los Serranos is $38 South. for $7 more we will always play Hidden Valley now. L.S. needs to get better. Cudos to H.V. new management.
