talk about windy... 40 - 60mph winds made for an already challenging outing at this target golf course. Course has recovered quite well from the recent rains and fairways are in tip top shape along with the super fast greens. Greens were a tad harder than normal due to the wind but I was able to add some serious extra yardage on my drive when the wind was behind me (6th & 9th hole drove through the end of the fairways and the 12th hole I drove 1 foot from the green) but it also detracted much distance when hitting directly into the wind... holes 2, 4, 10, 16, 17 & 18 for example. Standing on the 16th tee overlooking the green below with the wind swirling up from the canyon below... the wind hit you smack dab in the face while you tried to maintain your balance. This was what it was like and it made this hole much more challenging than normal. Also, the wind was SOOO strong it also came into play when you were putting and blew the ball around the greens MUCH more than normal. Next time when it's this windy I might as well stay home regardless of 'where' I'm playing. My hat flew off like 6 times!!! The starter is one 'cool cat' and he threw me 2 tokens for range balls. Thanks buddy! What a bargain for $45!!!!

Hidden Valley is back! We havent been here for awhile, we heard it was back in great shape and it is, Greens and fairways all green and lush. A fun track,lots of tough holes and some easy. Wouldnt want to play it all the time but on our list for once a month for sure,,, credits to the Super, nice work. price is right,,

Played 1/17. Course was in good shape considering the rain. Bunkers were hard packed, could have loosened more. Good to see they lowered the price and not sacrifice playing conditions. Can wait to go ... Continue »

Definately not a course for new players. Even intermediate players, bring lots of balls. I dare anyone to find faster greens but one of the most gorgeous courses under $80.

As I promised, played sunday 1/16/05 11;00 bringing 13 somes.Good weather & nice visibility.Still some wet points on fairways ,greens in excellent condition with mountain break, especially I think #17 almost 90 degree break. We were all surprised with 3 or 4 putts.$ 67.50 green fee , this kind of category is really big deal.

played on Fri Jan 14 & course is rounding into shape although you WILL lose some yardage in the fairways as the ball sticks due to the rain. For example, I lost a good 50 yards of roll on the 9th hole as my ball stuck as soon as it hit off of my drive. Fairways are still a little thin in some areas. Course should be better now as it drys out. Starter is very friendly and again gave me a token for a bucket of balls. Round took 5 hours though teeing off at 9am as we had some old geezers lagging in front of us. I still LOVE this course and you could see for miles on the tee boxes as it was a clear day. Overall, an 8.5 rating due to the thinness & spottiness of certain fairways.

Course is in great shape now but they bumped the fees $10 for the holiday week and they have added a cheap ass $2.50 fee for utilizing the GPS in the cart???? You do have an option NOT to use the GPS... Continue »

Course is in great shape now but they bumped the fees $10 for the holiday week and they have added a cheap ass $2.50 fee for utilizing the GPS in the cart???? You do have an option NOT to use the GPS but c'mon guys. Anywho, course held up well in spite of all the recent rains and drained VERY well. Cart path only made the GPS less effective but overall the course is a REAL treat in it's current conditions. The fairways have little or no bare spots now and the greens hold quite well. According to the starter the course is NOT being sold in the near OR long term future so get out and enjoy a round at Hidden Valley. Oh and DON'T forget about those spectacular views from almost EVERY hole and a 4 hour round teeing off at 9am on 12/30!!!!!

Every things, all good conditions.Except some wet part of fairways & greens were little bit hard than others giving you some extra bounces but rolling fast.Very challenging layout & nice view.Windy.I'm already counting next visit.

I remember when it was over a hundred dollar to play Hidden Valley. Good to see the course still open and the reduced rates. Fairways are a little thin and wet in spots, rough inconsistent from hole to hole, tee boxes were really scruffy, but the greens were great and the views fantastic. For $65 on the weekend, they’ll see me again.
