Played on 4/30 in the afternoon. Pace of play was slow but that is the only complaint. They punched the greens at the Lakes course a little over a month ago. The greens now are almost perfect, and fast. Fairways and tee boxes were also close to perfect. The Lakes course is in great condition right now.

Played Lakes course 6/12/10. First time here, did not know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. Pretty good condition, smooth and receptive greens. Huge, wide open fairways with just a few strategic bunkers. Got around in 3:40, with 730am Saturday tee time !

played last tuesday 4/6/10 on the palms 18, the lakes 18 was closed for maintenance. course was in good condition, some parts of the fairways were roped off to keep carts out. The greens were faster than usual, the tee boxes had some divots but were not over taken by them. overall i'd give it an 8/10, will definitely return.

Played on a nice Thursday afternoon, 2/11/10, with cool sunshine and occasional light breezes. Played the Lakes Course, the first time I’d been here since they added the new 9 to the existing 27 holes. Some positive notes and some negative ones. Course was in generally good shape after the recent heavy rains. Only the holes that played directly along the main creek drainage running through the middle of the course had damaged areas, and many of those were roped off to keep carts off. Today was the first day carts were allowed back on the fairways, and most had drained well and were solid. Fairway lies were spotty – some good, some in thin or clumpy areas. Course plays through housing but never really felt constricted or constrained. Greens were in very good condition. Greens here are fairly small, but were firm, rolled very quickly, and held shots. Greens probably the best part of the course. Lots of traps that had been raked after the rains; some still had moisture issues.
Negatives - Pace was crushingly slow. We waited on every shot, and didn’t see a marshall after the 5th hole. When we got to the 8th tee there were three other groups on the tee ahead of us, plus a group on the green (par 3). Overall a 5+ hour round. No GPS, and no yardage book. The course has a lot of traps and water in the driving areas, so for a newcomer it’s impossible to know how to best attack the holes. Once on the course marking is spotty except for the 150-yard rocks on most holes. No bathroom on the front until #9 tee, and it’s an outhouse. Then a bathroom after #15 tee. Help! Some tee boxes not level.
Cart girl came by 2-3 times. Adequate water available. You return to the clubhouse only after #18. Greens are great, but a lot of not-so-great.

Played The Lakes course, Sunday at noon time. Staff was good this day. Everyone seemed very nice. The course was in o.k. condition. The greens were o.k., but were slower than the practice green. The practice greens were actually the best part of the course. Also "grass" practice range was nice. The bunkers are terrible. Rock hard and no sand. And the "Mud Hens" left their poop all around the greens. Not very long course however some long par 3's. The Palms course was in better condition.

Played Sunday 12.2709. Worst bunkers I think I've ever played (at least top 3). It's tough enough when there's no sand, but when nobody rakes the bunkers and the greens staff probably had the holidays off, play is impossible. I'm not kidding about the footprints. Worst ettiquite I've experienced. Do the people who are members and play there regurlarly have no respect or pride in their course?? Awful. We had 4 groups that played and bunker gripes where the topic of discussion in the 19th hole.
