The fairways were good, greens were better than ever, and the rough was thick and lush. The only downside I found were the bunkers, they were soaking wet from the sprinklers. Although some bunkers were average at the same time. I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I will be back in the near future to play again.
played last tuesday 4/6/10 on the palms 18, the lakes 18 was closed for maintenance. course was in good condition, some parts of the fairways were roped off to keep carts out. The greens were faster than usual, the tee boxes had some divots but were not over taken by them. overall i'd give it an 8/10, will definitely return.
played earlier this morning, the course was in perfect condition minus the fact the greens were aerated. Other than that everything was great, the snack cart came around what seem like every other hole. Great course!
Course is fairly challenging, the front 9 is a lot less protected then the back 9. Good for players like me who need to warm up through the front 9. Fairways had some bare spots but nothing out of control, greens rolled true to their line. Overall good experience, the snack cart came by a couple times, as did the superintendent to observe pace of play but all was fine. Will definitely play again!
One of the nicest course in town, extremely difficult as a result. Staff is super friendly, had the cart girl come around 2-3 times each time i've played. Not to many people know this but you get a free round on your birthday, although they make you pay the cart fee of $12, a steal. Multi tiered greens are hard to putt, always play below the flag putting uphill. Putting downhill may result in a longer putt, could even roll off the green as a result. The par 3 8th is amazing, i've knocked the ball within 10ft each time. Definitely a good feeling on an island green surrounded by water. Overall great experience but be sure to bring extra golf balls, you may need them!
