Quick three hour round in the rain. The course is in great shape but very soft from the rain. The tee boxes and fairways are in their usual good shape - the rough is very thick and will only get tougher with the rain today. Greens were very quick even with all the rain coming down. Enjoyable and fairly easy course with enough water to keep you honest. Always recommended.

Early four hour round on a well maintained course - just stay out of the rough! The tee boxes are in great shape as were the fairways. The rough was very thick and long enough to make locating wayward shots difficult. The greens firmed up as the round went on and the temperature went up. The new ownership has removed the portable toilets on the ninth tee box - bad idea!! The traps are still marginal also - many very damp. I really enjoy this area and the two courses. The fees are very reasonable - IT would sure be NICE to see the golfers here FIX their marks on the GREENS!!!

It's been over 15 years since I last played Menifee Lakes and now I know why. It isn't that there is anything really wrong with the course, it's just that none of the holes are memorable or stand out. Aside from conditioning, which was only fair as to the fairways/rough, the greens had still not fully recovered from their recent punching, the course just feels redundant. I would have a difficult time finding a "signature hole" on this course. Again, it isn't that any of the holes are bad per se, it just felt like I was playing the same hole over and over. The staff was great. As we were first off, pace of play not an issue. Had a very nice time, but there are just too many more interesting courses to play closer to home, so I suspect it will be a while before I return.

Played in the AM in a SCGA Team Event. Greens: smooth, "holding" with medium to fast speed, best part of the course! Fairways: very thin lies. Rough: not very penal, actually you had a better lie in the rough than the fairway! Trap: not a lot of sand but it was soft beneath the sand. POP: just over 4 hours, not bad for a team event. Lots of coots and their droppings. Good grass range.

This is one of two courses at Menifee Lakes. We played on 9/27/2014 around 11am. The course is always vacant in the afternoons, we only had to play thru one foursome of newbies, but they saw us coming and waved us on thru. The course is now too difficult if you can put it in the fairway. There is water to contend with along with some hilly fairways that give you some blind shots. It is one of my favorite places to play along with the other course(Palms). The biggest drawback is every time we go, the driving range is closed to drivers and the "Irons Only" is posted. It seems they will allow the "Members" to hit drivers but not the public. I usually warm up at another course on the way. It is easier to get on the Lakes course than it is to get on the Palms course, because this is the course the "Members" prefer. I prefer the Palms course as well, but both are fun and offer different challenges.

Course is in very good shape even with the hot temps and dry days. Tee Boxes are also well groomed and fairways are just long enough to sit the ball up for good contact. The greens were very quick and rolling pretty true, it was hard to find your ball marks if you hit them though. The pace of play was just over three hours...nice! I've always have enjoyed the courses here in Menifee - much more since the new management took over recently. I would recommend this place to those that want a quick, well-priced round of golf on a pretty good course.

I have intentionally avoided Menifee for two years due to the unplayable conditions. Menifee, like many other valley courses, opted to 'not overseed' in the fall of 2012. Like many of the other courses, the decision not to overseed proved costly. I recently drove past Menifee and noticed the fairways looked considerably better so I decided to give it a shot. I played Lakes and I am pleased to report the course is in much better shape. Albeit, not in the condition I remember (2004/5/6), but very playable. The tee boxes need cut and are not quite level, though, overall they are fine. The fairways are fairly lush with "hard pan" areas nonexistent. The rough is still on the mend, though playable. The greens are in the same condition they've always been, smooth and true, no complaints. For those of you who, like me, have avoided Menifee over the last year or two, make your next tee time at Menifee, you won't be disappointed.

Played 9/15/13 . Tee'ed off at 7:20. Pace of play was good finished in 3 hours 45 min. Course was really nice. Tee boxes need to be cut but not bad. Fairways were lush and didn't really see any bare spots. Greens were soft and very receptive. Little slow in the morning but got better as the day went on. Ball rolled true very few bumps. Divots were not an issue. Had a great time, will be back.
