Played for the first time in 6 months. Had read how the course had been severely dried out for reseeding. It has definitely come back. Overall the course is in really nice shape. The course is challenging, bordering on tricky on some holes, but if you hit it fairly straight you can score. Greens have enough undulation to keep the putting challenging as well. If you are playing well, you will enjoy this track, if not it could make for a long day. The new owners are working hard to make this a quality facility and seem to be doing that. Conditions are the best I've played in the 5 times I've played here. The scenery of the course winding through the old quarry is enjoyable and striking in certain areas. Overall, we had a good, enjoyable round at a course in very good shape at this time.

Played this morning, the course is definitely still in recovery mode. Greens still a bit bumpy and the fairways very shaggy. Always a fun layout. Will be back in a few weeks to try again.

Played 9/7. They stopped watering their fairways about 2 weeks ago to overseed for winter rye. EVERYTHING IS BROWN AND HARD. 280 yd 4 irons are not rare on down hill tee shots. Greens still some of the best in CA. Green fee $75, and no warning when making the tee time. Stay away until November!!

In all fairness the course is in the process of getting ready to overseed, so the fairways are very brown and in rather poor condition. The course itself is still one of my very favorites, but the condition made it rather tough to rate it as high as I would have liked too.

Played course 6/17. As ususal course was in almost perfect condition. Two of the greens were in the final recovery from aeration. The rest were perfect. So were the fairways. Only complaint. They have almost no sand in the traps with a very, very firm bottom. Also, I've played there a dozen times, mostly in the afternoon. The wind is always blowing at least 2 to 3 club lengths. Course plays a lot harder in the wind. Overall, love this course. It has some great holes.
