Early cold Sunday morning round in four hours. The tee boxes varied from a little thin and shaggy. There are a couple of holes where the boxes are really sloped. The fifth hole has a new blue tee box that was recently sodded and sanded. The placement of this new tee really changes the club selection one makes. The rough has thinned out somewhat but there is still quite a bit of clover throughout the course. The fairways were nearly all dormant and many were damp with numerous divots in need of sand. The traps are still slowly improving as you can see the work on the large fairway bunkers on the 18th hole. The greens were all pretty soft but there were fewer ball marks than in my previous rounds. The greens were holding well and still fairly quick.

Early morning four hour round with another good twosome. The staff is great and helpful and the practice facilities adequate for the traffic usually here. The tee boxes were all still a little damp with good coverage of grass and weeds. The rough was fairly long and damp as well. The rough is also a mixture of different grasses, weeds and lots of clover. Once found you could usually put a good swing on the ball. The fairways all had pretty good coverage with tight nearly dormant bermuda lies. The green side traps I found (four) were all in good condition with rakes and plenty of sand much to my surprise. My playing partners still said the fairway bunkers were sandless and hard. The greens have good coverage and about half were in really nice shape with few marks, rolling well and holding good shots. The other half of the greens were marked up from ?? and ball marks in need of repair. The overall course condition remains steady with the maintenance being performed. The location of this course is ideal for those living in the area. We're still waiting for the conditions to return to what they were many years ago. Who knows?

Early round this morning in a little over four hours. The staff is great and the carts are good but offer no gps. The tee boxes were all a little rough but had sufficient coverage with most needing of a trim. The rough has gotten pretty long again especially if you are not close to the fairways. Finding wayward drives can be an egg hunt and advancing your ball from it very discouraging. The fairways are better than average with almost all holes having no bare sections and provide fairly good lies. You will find a few thin places on some holes and damp/wet patches on others. The traps I found were in decent shape with actual sand in them. Most traps appeared to be in need of a little to a lot of new sand however. The greens which are usually great were a little disappointing today. Several greens had bare sections and numerous ball marks and the speed varied from average to slow. The rain the evening before may have had something to do with the inconsistent green speeds? The course looks to be slowly improving and always seems to be fairly busy. The green fees are better than some in the area and seem to be fair for the conditions.

Played blue tees on 2 consecutive Saturdays in the am. The course has quite a bit of contour and elevation changes as it winds through the local community. There are several doglegs, and you are forced to hit a shorter iron shot off a few of the tees. Water comes into play on several holes also.

Faciities are nice with driving range and oversized practice green available. Overall, the course is pleasing to the eye with coverage in the fairways. Some of the fairways were a little soggy from overwatering.

The greens were in great shape, but were very soft. Several were tiered, but they weren't running that fast, so it didn't make it too difficult.

Tee boxes were generally good except for one of the funky par 5's had the blue tees tucked in a tight cul-de-sac surrounded by bushes, with nothing but sand to hit from.

Bunkers were well maintained with plenty of sand...

I'm told by friends who are local that the course is on a rebound after a down period. They are happy with the improvement in conditions. Definitely a good value for $70 incl cart.

Early Sunday morning time with a fourth that was added to our group. Sadly he had to quit after his second shot on the first hole. Somehow he threw himself from his cart and ran over his leg? My partners witnessed it but all I saw was him fly from the cart! Ouch. The staff is good at their jobs and the carts are good but lack gps. The tee boxes range from level with good coverage to sloped with shaggy or little coverage. The rough has gotten pretty thick in places with lots of water and an abundance of clover. Lost balls are common in some sections on rough here. The fairways are still in fairly good condition with thin sections and tight lies on a few holes. The traps are in okay shape with many being damp and in need of a good raking. The greens are still in really nice condition. A few greens had numerous ball marks in need of repair but most had very few. The rates have not been increased as much as many of the local options which makes this course a fairly good deal considering the conditions.

Saturday morning round in about 4.5 hours. The staff is friendly and the marshall made himself known a few times during the round. The tee boxes were a little beat up from all the play this course is seeing now. The rough is thickening up where it is being well watered but has lots of clover! The fairways continue to remain in good condition with a few tight lies during the round. The traps look much better but the 1/2" of sand placed in them IS OF no help to the unsuspecting golfer! The many bunkers I found appeared to look good but really weren't fair the the golfer with mud hidden just beneath the ball. The greens have quickened up to what is near normal for this course. Shots held well but the poa continues to advance itself on many greens. The location and rates continue to draw golfers back which is nice to see.

Early off on Sunday morning and done in under four hours. It makes a difference when your 25 handicap partner isn't with you! The staff is always friendly and on point. The tee boxes have greatly improved with most holes having nice turf but a couple are still a little ratty and not level. The rough is filling in with kikuyu as they continue to put a lot of water on everything. Finding yourself in the kikuyu sections of rough now make hitting a good shot a little more difficult. The fairways are being watered quite a bit and look as if they are starting to fill in, but you will still find sections of thin turf throughout the round. The traps have been trimmed up and sand added to many bunkers but still thin in some of those traps! The greens all have great coverage with an abundance of poa. There were very few ball marks but the poa makes keeing a putt on line difficult. You see a lot of snaking and putts not holding even if well struck. The tee times are ten minutes apart which is also great for a more enjoyable round. The continued course conditions are really nice to see. Keep it up and hold the rates

Early Sunday am round in four hours. Played through a slow group at the turn only to be held up a few holes later by another slower group. The staff is friendly and carts are solid but have no gps. The rear tee boxes vary from level with good coverage to sloped with a thin shaggy mix. The rough has thickened up in the last two weeks where it's shaded and watered. Other sections of rough are thinner and drying out. The traps are looking better but still need sand. Those that have sand in them also have tons of small pebbles that do damage to your wedges. The greens are back to their usual quick smoothness with very few marks on any green. The rates and the fact they've kept tee times at ten minute intervals makes for a pleasant pace of play. Just hoping the course can continue to maintain the level of maintenance they have during the summer months.

Early Sunday morning round in about 4.5 hours. We were joined by two brothers who were friendly but one knew everything about anything! A set of earplugs sure would have been nice. The carts and practice facilities are kept up well. The staff is pretty good at keeping things going and running smoothly. The tee boxes had decent coverage but all were in need of a trim. The rough was pretty thick in places and thinner in others, but in better condition than in previous rounds. The fairways for the most part had coverage with different types of grasses making for a good cushion and lies. The bermuda grass has really filled in and greened up with the heat we've had in the valley lately. The traps are still extremely hard packed dirt on most holes with a few traps throughout the round having marginal sand. Our playing partners removed their balls from the traps when they found themselves in them. The greens all had 100% coverage and very few ball marks. The course has always had nice smooth fast greens but they were a little bumpy and probably the slowest I've ever seen them. It had been quite awhile since I had returned to play here because of their increased rates and the obvious maintenance neglect the course was in. I was very happy to see the course in much better condition than it was in the last few rounds I had played here. They do offer senior rates again on the weekends which are in line with the local competition. Hopefully they can continue to keep the course at the level it is presently at. Recommended.
