Early four hour round on a dry and damp course. The staff and their website guru need to get their act together. The course now offers a senior rate but the last few times playing here I've had "'issues" being charged the correct fee!!! The course itself continues to improve slightly. The tee boxes were mostly dry, thin and beat to death. The fairways are still hit and miss with good and thin coverage. A few of the fairways were soggy in places and dried out in other areas. The maintenance crew needs to get their sprinkler system set so the course is evenly watered (or maybe they aren't given the budget). The traps lack sand and rakes for the sand. The traps were also very wet and unplayable on many holes. The greens are definitely the best part of the course. They are well groomed and fairly quick but a few had many ball marks. I enjoy the layout and location. The senior rates are reasonable for what is offered.

Early round with a friend who lives in the Temecula area. Would have preferred Cross Creek, but we don't always get what we desire. As it turned out, worked out fine as the staff was friendly and accommodating and we were able to get around in well under four hours.

Course conditions are a mixed bag. Some of the greens were firm, some soft, same with pace, but because there are so many tiers on these greens, I'm sure that made it seem inconsistent. The rough however is inconsistent, from thin/bare to thick, depending upon where the ball ends up. Bunkers were OK, enough sand, well raked.

Because I tend to flight the ball lower than most, this course plays tough for me, with so many elevated greens. Some interesting holes. I really enjoy the finishing hole, providing a great opportunity for a birdie, but it makes you hit the shots.

Very quick pace as single yesterday on hot day: 3:15 hours. First time here. Lots of elevation changes and some blind shots. Greens in good shape: Smooth, rolled quick. Fairways were thin, even bare in spots. Rough was very inconsistent. Did not play long from blue tees. Hit some ridges on back of greens and ball rolled down 10-20 feet. #5 was particularly tough as it wraps way around to right from tee box in secluded nook. Fairway 200y out from green goes right of it, then over a small lake. Guessed direction/distance on couple of shots. Recommend coming back as course knowledge could lead to a good score. Course plays in valleys in between homes on both sides of fairways.

Early morning four hour round on 'glad to say' an improving course. The senior rates make the course more in line with course conditions. The staff is friendly enough and helpful. The tee boxes were in okay shape with a few being thin and shaggy but acceptable. The rough was thick/thin depending on the hole and location along the holes. The longer rough made it difficult to locate your ball. The fairways have seen more watering lately and are in much better shape but a few have very thin sections and it's hit and miss (more so on the back nine). The traps are in better shape on many holes but those with sand in them had very damp/wet sand. The greens are in great shape and very quick again. The pin placements make some holes more like an amusement park and were frustrating. Overall it's great to see the conditions improve. I know a few members and several home owners in the Temeku community and think that pressure from them has convinced ownership to shape it up. Give it a try and hopefully things continue on the present path!

Taking advantage of the recently received "thirty dollar Thursday" deal, able to secure at the last minute the first time off at 6:30am today. Thanks to Dale in the pro shop, he let us out 20 minutes early, so we could beat a reverse shotgun which started on holes 17 & 18 at 8:30. We were able to finish at 8:20 so it all worked out.
The course was in pretty good condition considering. Greens not very quick, particularly the back nine because we got ahead of the mowers. But they rolled well and held shots nicely. Most of the fairways were good, with a few "iffy" areas. A few tee boxes, #4 in particular were in poor shape. (Blue tees) Bunkers weren't great, but playable.

I have never been a big fan of this course, mostly because I am not crazy about playing uphill greens, and there are plenty of them on this course. Plus many of the greens have tiers and you are unable to determine exactly where on the tier the flag sits. Course has a few very nice holes, but generally kind of redundant.

Enjoyed the round because pace was great, conditions were nice, staff (Dale) was execellent and the price was right.

Played a quick three hour afternoon round yesterday. The staff loves their course which has a face ONLY mother could love. I've not played here in awhile but decided to give it a chance. Glad I didn't pay what they think their course is worth! The course owner is the PGCC college in Temecula. They do offer free lessons from the students one day a week and are strong with the Junior programs - kudos there! The course itself is in very sad shape. The front nine admittedly is not nearly as dismal as the back nine. The tee boxes are mostly level with the exception of hole six which is severely sloped and the green is blocked by overhanging trees. The fairways are very dry om the front and extremely thin and dry on the back. The rough is very thick six inch clover and weeds (forget about looking for your ball if not in the fairway). The traps are in really bad shape also with a few on the back played as ground under repair. The greens are still the only highlight of Temeku (the legends). They were much slower today than in the previous twenty years of play here. It's disheartening to see what was a good course for years looking like a dying family member. The rates are not equal to what is offered in the way of conditions. I cannot recommend and won't be back until conditions improve!

My grandparents-in-law live off of Hole 12 fairway. Over the past 10 years when we visit and are welcomed into their backyard, I have seen the transformation of the course. From brown fairways and hard greens, to mostly green again with plush greens. Obviously, the recent rains have helped, but other improvements are well on their way. Sand is slowly being added to multiple bunkers all over the course (though I wish I didn’t actually know this). Other improvements over the last few months: edging around the cart paths, improved driving range mats AND balls, punched greens have recovered nicely, roped off areas to prevent cart damage around greens, and it looks like major sprinkler repairs are in progress to set the course up well for the summer months. I am able to play the course often, and it doesn’t get boring. Always a challenge with the various pin placements that are possible with the multi-tiered greens. If you haven’t played it in a while, might be a good time to come back!

Played at ledgens on 3/28/19 and it was in the worst condition I have ever seen it. The rough consists of foot high clover not grass. There is patches of clover growing everywhere, in the fairways, around and in the sand traps, it’s just horrible. If you hit your ball just a couple of feet off the fairways, you will not find it. I felt like I got robbed for my $42.00 green fee. After the round we asked the guy inside the pro shop what had happened to the course. Here’s the answer we got, “well our mover is broken and it’s very expensive to fix so we haven’t cut the rough (clover) in weeks. I played yesterday and lost four balls in the clover myself”. Good customer service answer. If you are in the Temecula area and all the other local courses are CLOSED, I still wouldn’t play here until they step up their game and start using green fee money to maintain the course!

1/26 birthday round $16 cart fee--1 week before or after birthday--registration to email club required and a printed copy of their email. Fairways are winter thin but due to recent rain were soft enough for good contact but firm enough to give ok roll out. About 50 percent not level lies what with the up hill down hill ans some side hill nature of the course. Water comes into play on a few holes. Not much in the way of rough but where present was thick enough to be challenging.
Tees mostly thin but playable. The 2 bunkers I found had ample deep well groomed sand.
Greens were quite good for the most part with only 2 that had minor damage near the front. 6 pin placements are available and due to the slope, tiers and contours many locations provide additional challenges. Putts rolled at medium speed and were pretty smooth overall.
Check in was easy. Staff was friendly and welcoming. POP 345 even following the 2 5somes in their Monday skins game. Good variety in the layout and quite enjoyable overall. Just a little hard to get to from south OC.
