I do have a few suggestions to make this track even better,,, stop filling up the bunkers with water, some were great, some were mud, and yes I was in a lot of them Thursday AM. Practice green scared the he!! out of us as it was super slow, BUT, the greens on course were just fine, not fast but nothing like the practice green. Stop that!! make the practice green the best green. The place was empty, I am happy that a lot of folks go to Dos Lagos to save a couple $$$,, but it seemed to us seniors that if Trilogy had a decent, not cheap, but decent senior rate on weekdays they would have more business. We dont play Dos Lagos, not untill it gets bettter, much better. Trilogy was fun, not too hard, lots of very nice scenery, Back 9 was a lot of fun..... We will be back..

Played Trilogy, Glen Ivy, today (8/15) with pfuzzard. We hooked up using Greenskeeper.org Member Tee Times and Forum features. We had the 7:22 A.M. tee time. Great practice area (on grass)....we got called to the tee early from the practice green....but it was a little premature. We got off at 7:30, as a twosome.

Unlike some other courses in the immediate area, they did not put us with the threesome who were behind us to make a fivesome, but that's another story.

I had read som reviews that mentioned "bare spots" in the fairways at Trilogy...but - maybe I've just had blinders on, because I really like this track. I had never really noticed. Today, I really tried to find them.

Yes, there are a few scattered bare spots in some assorted fairways...but you really have to look for them. There are some that are marked as GUR. For the most part, the fairways are lush, and so are the tee-boxes.

The greens....well - they were a different story today. Note: they were not horrible, but what a difference one week can make!! I'm not sure if they even mowed the greens this week. I'm sure they must have...but still! While they were beautiful to look at, and seemed very receptive to all kinds of shots....man, were they ever slow today!!! I left 99% of my putts short today, and as we know...those don't go in! You had to really whack a long putt to get the ball to the hole. Still couldn't get there!! Aaaaarrrgghh!

The rough was just long-enough that you really didn't want to end up there. Not "lose your ball" long....but you really need to keep out of it if you want to score well.

Not a blistering pace, but we finished in just over four hours. It kept moving all day, although there was a group out front who fell behind a bit. Not terrible for a Saturday morning.

Saw the beverage-cart-girl twice, once on the front, once on the back. To the best of my knowledge, no "members" let the cart girl hit golf-shots with their group.

I'll be back.

I played trilogy today for the first time. I was impressed. They had the grass range which is always good to warm up on. The pace was the only bad thing, (I'm not sure if that's normal, there was a tournament going on I think). The tee boxes were all nice, the fairways were nice, the rough was pretty thick. The sand was pretty heavy and damp. There are big dirt clumps in the bunkers. it looks like it needs a good rake. The greens were very nice, they rolled pretty quick. There are a lot of opportunities for fun shots here. Something strange I noticed was the number of people with their own golf carts. Maybe a retirement community?? There were some crazy carts too, with speakers and back seats and everything. I loved the course from the minute I got there. I will be back for sure.

A guy in our group was from out of town and was snapping pictures on a lot of the holes because of their dramatic views. It was pretty hot out but the cart girl seemed to come around every 4 or 5 holes to save us. Pace was great - we finshed in just under 4 hours. Greens were in nice condition but a couple of fairways had some bare spots - nothing to cry about, though. I live near the course and every time I play at Trilogy, I wonder why I don't play there more.

News flash!!Trilogy Golf Club is officially back in my rotation. Big time! It's really in great shape, and the greens, which were always "suspect" at best and "lumpy/bumpy" at worst, have really bounced back!! A couple of the greens had some residual sand from a recent sanding...but that's a necessary evil to keep them in tip-top shape. Most greens were NOT sandy, held all shots well, putted smooth and reliable (downhill putts acted like downhill putts and uphill putts likewise.)

From some of the prior reviews, I was expecting browned-out, ugly-but-playable fairways...not true! They were very green, lush and the perfect texture and length. From tee-to-green, with very few exceptions (I must have repaired 20+ additional ball-marks besides my own!!) - - Trilogy has never looked better!

And...guess what? Like any good golf course....they do not allow fivesomes!!

Four-hours-and-ten-minutes total round...a very pleasant pace of play!! Saturday round - - off the first-tee right on time at 7:22 A.M.

And I had forgotten what a great track it is....a wide variety of holes, uphill holes, downhill holes, a stunning finishing hole and lots of challenge for all levels of player. We played it from the blue-tees...there's a set of blacks one-step beyond if you want a real challenge.

I will be back for sure. Along with Goose Creek, Oak Quarry, Empire Lakes...Trilogy is now high on the list of great courses along the "15 Corridor".

Kudos to the staff and greenskeepers at Trilogy, Glen Ivy!

This course is really fun and worth the money soon as the heat goes away i will be back. heheheheh i teed up four balls on 18 i couldnt help myself, what a hole.....

Played on Sunday afternoon July 6th, it was $45 special. I like the layout of this course, and the back nine is always a fun challenge with the par 3's and No. 18, but the greens were just in horrible condition. Take it, we did play in 4 1/2 hours, but we could have finnished in 3 1/2 if there was a marshall to move the slow foursome ahead of us marking their 5 inch puts. There were at least 3 holes wide open in front of them and they were playing as if each hole was worth $10,000. Hate to generalize, but I guess when you can't afford to play in SoKor, you pay pennies to play in Cali. and milk it for everything it's worth. The past times I've played here, the greens have always been a factor... marked up, spungy, and dry spots. The guy in the pro-shop sounded surprised when it was brought up. It's a shame, I know it's only $45 special, but I guess that's why I won't pay the full green fee for the condition this course is in everytime I do come. Could be in much better condition. Maybe I will take up the specials across the way at Dos Lagos, against the pro shops advice.
