Out early on a very pleasant and uncrowded morning. The greens have not yet healed from the aeration earlier this month. Still bumpy but had decent speed. A few of the fairways were a bit shaggy, but nothing too severe. I would give things a week or two and everything should be fine. Ruth, in the shop is the best, and makes coming here a pleasure. Always enjoy my experience here, which is why I continue to patronize this course.

Nice to get out early, albeit in the dark, to insure a quick round. Not too cold and no wind, so overall conditions were reasonably pleasant. Enjoy playing Dos Lagos, but the conditions are a bit susp... Continue »

Nice to get out early, albeit in the dark, to insure a quick round. Not too cold and no wind, so overall conditions were reasonably pleasant. Enjoy playing Dos Lagos, but the conditions are a bit suspect right now. Fairways are very "tight" and the areas around the greens are also thin or surrounded with "clumpy. grass. The greens were slower than normal, and the greens on the front side had some sort of striations., which made them roll less than true.

As always, Ruth, in the pro shop was great. Greens fees have increased by $2, which seemed to be the norm now days. Still, it was great morning to play and had a nice time. Great way to begin the week, which is forecast to receive a lot of rain later

Out early on a very mild morning. I had prepared for cold, but it was so mild, 59 degrees when I tee'd off at 6:15. Fairways are very tight, which is great for extra roll out, but requires a lot more focus hitting from them. The back nine greens were much better than the front. Several on the front had issues. Lots of sand in the bunkers, although none were raked for me. Thee tee boxes are now all level, but the recently overseeeded areas are all dormant.

Fun morning, not very busy, and being first out allowed me to finish in about two hours. Nice way to begin the week.

We played the other day and had nothing but fun on this course that combines several plain straight away holes and several tricky shot holes. Can say I love the dormant Bermuda grass fairways as they have great fairway coverage (can imagine how great this course would be if they could afford a full winter over seed). Still wonder about hole #13 a 400 plus par 4 from the white tees and a small landing area next to water at the green, they have well over 150 yards of flat ground behind the tee box's and could easily made it a par 5? (course is a par 70). Greens were also in very good shape, and sand, oh boy that soft powdery sand in green side bunkers what fun when you almost NEVER get to practice or play out of them. For us the drive is a bit tough or we would certainly play here more. I would think this is a course you play once and say I got to do that again because breaking 80 or shooting a 100 are both possible.

Notice that they have overseeded all the tee boxes, so many of the tee boxes are closed, with the tee markers positioned between the pods or adjacent to them. Some had them in the front of the pod. Looks like it will be a couple weeks at least until they will open again. The greens have healed pretty well from the aeration, a little slow but not too bad. Fairways were very thin/tight. As I was ahead of maintenance, bunkers had not yet been racked.

As always, Ruth, in the shop was a pleasure to deal with. Being out first, so no issue with pace of play. It was nice to hole out my wedge on #18 for an eagle, so it made the drive home a little more tolerable.

Out early on a very mild morning - 73 degrees at 6AM. I know that in all too short a time, I'll be concerned about frost and how frigid it is playing here in the mornings, so nice to enjoy the pleasant weather in the AM.

The greens were not as smooth as normal. They need to be rolled. Also, not nearly as quick as usual either, but they were receptive. Fairways had good coverage, Tee box on #9 is really beat up. They need to close it down and rest it for a short time to allow it to recover.

Always enjoy my time at Dos Lagos. Dealing with Ruth in the shop is a great way to start the day. She is always super friendly and accommodating. One of the reasons I continue to patronize this course.

Back out to Dos Lagos for a quick, early round. 78 degrees when I tee'd off at 5:48AM, so expected it to become rather warm, but there was cloud cover, so it never really became any warmer. Finished in just a bit under two hours, so still early.

Conditions about the same as when I played here a few weeks ago. However since I had no mowed greens, they were a bit on the slow side. Bunkers had plenty of sand, but none were yet maintained, so hard to evaluate. Decent coverage in the fairways.

As always, Ruth in the shop is the best. Wish every person working in the golf shops were like her.

Out early as usual on a pleasant morning. Beginning the day dealing with Ruth in the pro shop is always a joy. Couple of changes since I played here in early May. Price increased one dollar for senior - now $40. New carts. (Sure wish they had shields for when the weather gets cold) and hole #6 is now CPO, which appears to be permanent condition. I hate that hole, so just one more thing not to like about it.

Greens rolled well but were much slower than usual. Fairways were fine, but did have more bare areas than I remember. Bunkers had not yet been maintained, so they were not in the best shape. Several of the tee boxes were pretty chewed up.

Fun track. Not the most difficult, but enjoyable and with reasonable pricing and a great staff, it remains on my regular rotation.

Out early on a misty morning. Greens have not yet completely healed from the recent aerification. They were not bad, just not what I have become accustomed too from Dos Lagos. They did still have decent pace though. I enjoy this course and always look forward to playing here, but the course was as "scruffy" as I've seen it. While never immaculate by any means, there were just a lot a areas which were beat up, weeds growing in the bunkers, etc. I hope this is only a temporary condition?

Ruth was as always a joy to deal with in the pro shop. Nice to begin the day with a positive person to inter-act with.
