Off early on an unexpectedly cold morning. Beginning the day dealing with Ruth in the pro shop is always a positive. Regulars playing, so a bit busy at the start, but no issues getting out.

The fairways and areas surrounding the greens were very "tight". Made for some challenging chipping around the greens. Greens putted much quicker than they looked. Greenside bunkers had plenty of sand, but none were maintained. (That's the downside of teeing off so early and being ahead of maintenance) A number of the tee boxes were rather chewed up.

Always enjoy this track, except for #6, which has my number. Some great birdie holes and a couple holes I am just thrilled if I can save my par ( #13 & #14) Fun track with great people at a reasonable price. That keeps this course in my regular rotation.

Played Saturday 2/26 and to echo the previous review, the course was not in good shape. Fairways were tight with several patches and the greens wouldn't hold anything. It's very disappointing to hit a perfect tee shot only to end up 40 yards to the left in the rough or 40 yards back into a lake. I was in 2 bunkers all day and one played like concrete 16th and one had sand 18th greenside. Very disappointing golf round.

I always enjoy playing Dos Lagos, in part because dealing with Ruth in the pro shop is such pleasure. I wish all personal in the golf shops could be as friendly and accommodating. It was a cold morning, which never seemed to warm up. One of the things I don't like about this course is the carts have no windshield, so it just makes it feel all that much colder.

Sorry to report that I thought the course was in the worst condition I have seen it. Greens were still good, but they were thin, and NOTHING would hold, and chips ran out forever. Fairways were more than just tight, they had very little grass on them in many areas. Bunkers had sand, but none were maintained. The tee boxes are really chewed up. Not level amd lots of divots. I'm hoping this is just a temporary condition because of recent weather. My experience with Dos Lagos is they normally are in much better condition. Even with the negatives, still had a good time and look forward to returning.

First off at 5:51am on a foggy morning. To my surprise (And delight) there was nobody there this morning, except of course for Ruth in the shop. Always a pleasure to deal with Ruth. She is one of the best people I ever encounter at ANY of the courses I play. All golf course staff could take a lesson from her in dealing with customers.

They were preparing the tee boxes to be over seeded, so all were under construction, but not to the point where we could not hit from them. (At least not until they begin the seeding) The fairways had nice coverage. Bunkers were not yet maintained, but since I did not find any of them, wasn't an issue today. Greens still showed signs of the aeration from last month. A bit slow and still somewhat bumpy. Maybe another week and they should be decent.

As stated earlier. no one there when we arrived, but when we finished, it looked to be packed. That's the trade off for playing in the cold/dark/wet.

Tuesday morning tee time, check in and first tee well organized. Tee boxes were lacking good coverage on more than a few holes. Fairways and rough have good coverage and provided a good surface to hit from. Traps need to be raked on a regular basis a couple of traps had extra large footprints in them for so early in the morning. Greens are still recovering and were bumpy and sandy. POP was 4.5 hours with waiting on a couple of holes on the front nine. Great senior rate.

Dos Lagos is like a hidden gem. Some players may get upset at the lack of a driving range, but it does not define the course, The course is Bermuda, and all fairway lies are perfect! There are a couple of bare spots in the fairway (off hand I cite #6 especially), and a few blind shots, but otherwise the course is very playable. Each nine is like a separate golf course. The front plays tight while the back is pretty open prior to #14. Lots of elevation changes to contend with and you really don't want to leave the fairway on numerous holes, but that's what makes the course challenging. It's not really long, so you can score on it. Bunkers would be OK if players would just rake them after they traipse all over the sand. Same with the occasional unfixed ball mark on the green. And lastly, but certainly not least, is the affable Ruth behind the counter. Every golf course should have front-line employees modeled after her - As the previous reviewer said. Add to the aforementioned comments that the price is right, and you have a great little tract. I hear whiners who won't play there, but when asked why, they have no answer. Try it out for yourself. Finally, a suggestion for the cart people - please make sure the carts go out with sand in the bottles. Let's encourage people to keep the course nice. Thanks.

Decided to make a chance and drove out to Dos Lagos this morning without a tee time. Seeing Ruth behind the counter was a real positive, because she is just such a pleasure to deal with. I wish all golf course personal were like her.

Being willing to hit off in the dark allowed me to get out first and enjoy a nice easy smooth 2+ hour pace. The course conditions were very good. Green super receptive and for most part, rolled true. A little slower than usual I thought. Fairways had good coverage, but were a bit tight. Bunkers had not yet been maintained, but did have plenty of sand in them.

I applaud this course because it is one of the very few who did NOT bump up their green fees and try to gouge the public. Despite keeping their green fees low, they continue to manage to keep the course in nice condition. Always enjoy playing Dos Lagos. Fun track, very reasonably priced, and wonderful staff.

Early morning tee time at DLGC today. Check in and first tee organized, tee times were 20 minutes behind with no real reason. Some tee boxes were on the thin side, fairways and rough have good coverage. Greens were lush with quite a few unfixed divots. Greens were on the slow side and little furry. Traps are in need of some TLC, compacted muddy soil with weeds growing in some and none were raked. Back nine our group had the option of taking a drop. POP was four hours. Senior green fee is one of the best around.

Just a fun course to play at a great price (senior rate anyway) Interesting without being penal. My only complaint is hole #6 is just too difficult for this senior player. That hole "owns" me
