Course is in good shape overall. Bunkers a little light on sand but fairways were lush and had good coverage. Played twilight so the greens were a little on the bumpy side. Aside from the slothful triple digit handicappers clogging up the course from the blues it was a great afternoon.

Course is having issues with carts. They had a random single share mine. Nice guy, only issue was we were behind one of the slowest 3somes ever, and the random single didn't understand what playing through was.

This course seriously needs marshals that will actually do something about slow play. Too bad since the layout has potential.

Didn't know Tom & Mark were having match here, or I would have looked for them so I could give a GK heckle. Please see Mark's post as he nails the review. My only differing opinion from Mark, is we thought the greens were soft & fast; but our experience and comparisons are limited. We actually loved these greens and we want another shot at them, and the course, as is.
Saw Raquel in the drink cart 3 times, course restrooms open, rakes present, no ball washers, 1 practice green, a two mat net practice range, bar and deck open. If you're a righty, and your driver isn't behaving with many misses right, then you'd better figure out what to do about it quickly at Dos Lagos. Reccomended.

Played here Sunday, 5/30 with tocho261 for our GK Cup match. We started around 5:56 a.m. and invited a twosome waiting behind to join us. Cloudy, overcast morning. POP pretty good at just a bit under 4 hours.

Conditions are mostly good. Greens are medium speed, mostly smooth and accept full shots well. Some greens (7 comes to mind) still show some pretty significant evidence from the last aeration, but most are completely healed. Bermuda fairways are semi-dormant with good coverage and decent cushion under the ball. Rough was also good coverage but less consistent, with anything from bare spots to fluffy bermuda. I was in two bunkers; both pretty damp but played good. Tee boxes were mostly good; a few might’ve been a bit clumpy. Overall the course is not in great condition but also not in bad condition. It’s almost right in between where you barely have to think about conditions at all.

Thank you Tom for the invite and the ability to use your great rate out there. Fun course with no houses in play, lots of great elevation changes, and a good variety of holes. Always a fun time at Dos Lagos.

Played early yesterday at 5:50. nice and wide open. Fairways were short but ball sat up very well and rough is basically the same height as the fairways except around the greens where it is up to 3". Bunkers had plenty of sand and I got up and down twice from them. My best surprise of the day was making a birdie on #6. Trick is to hit your second shot way left of the green into the hill and the ball will roll down onto the green. Mine rolled down to about 4'.

Second off at 5:45am on a cooler than anticipated morning. It is always a joy to begin the day here dealing with Ruth in the shop. She is wonderful and makes for a positive beginning whenever she opens the shop. The course was in decent condition as Robert indicated in his latest review. The greens were bumpier than I expected, but also much quicker than they looked. Never have I struggled more on any greens than I did this morning. I just could not figure out the pace, and could not keep the ball on line. Me or the greens, I don't know, but I was pathetic out there. Fairways were good for the most part. Greenside bunkers had plenty of sand, but none were raked. (Maybe because we were ahead of maintenance) But you have to wonder about yesterdays play - didn't anyone think about raking a bunker ! My only real complaint about this course is hole #6. Maybe players who can hit the ball a decent distance have no issues with this hole, but unless you can fly it all the way to the green, (Which I can no longer do) the hole is simply unfair. ANYTHING short rolls into the water, and there is no lay up area ? Otherwise I always enjoy playing this course. It's fun, generally in good condition, reasonably priced, and a wonderful staff. Highly recommend. (Just skip #6 )

Played my second-ever round at Dos Lagos this Saturday with my monthly golf group on a particularly windy day (third round in a row dealing with that) but mostly sunny and warm. Unfortunately this place still does not have a range, but instead a small hitting cage with a few mats. With so much land around, that's still a headscratcher that no one thought of this when it was designed.

We all rode and played from the white tees as per usual with this group. The layout here is quite fun and varied from the front nine to the back (much more wide open until the 15th hole), with just a few 'quirky' holes like #6 and #16. I enjoy playing here, and of course there are some nice views of the mountains.

Course is in pretty decent shape right now with a few exceptions, like the torrid tee boxes on the first hole (very surprising) and a few others that are just completely chewed up. The bunkers have rakes back in them but I think there are still too many holdouts who simply choose not to use them. Fairways were mostly good with some thin areas and the rough is completely manageable. Near the greens you could find yourself chipping on some very thin ground which made it especially challenging.

I enjoyed the greens currently which still showed the slightest evidence of prior punching, but rolled medium-fast and true all afternoon. Only a few areas with some damage around the greens, with the main culprit being the GUR areas near the 14th green atop the hill. There are some tricky green complexes here and a few varied tiers, but mostly fair and a good test.

We had cart service come by numerous times throughout the day which was nice, and the carts are pretty well appointed but don't have any GPS system, which would make some holes on that front nine difficult for a first-timer.

Enjoyable round and, with just a few tweaks to some of the problem areas, could be a very good value for the area and near a must-play. But first need those things addressed.

Played today. Became windy as the afternoon came around. Dodged the rain forecasted. The greens were aerated a few weeks ago. Mini-holes are still visible and the greens are bumpy. No true roll. A couple more weeks until the greens will be completely healed. Traps had decent sand. The white tee box on hole #16 was a little bare. Other parts of the course were in good condition.

Staff as always were friendly and inviting.
