Played Saturday, 8/28 at 2:30. The course was overbooked, so we didn't tee off until closer to 3:00, and ended up finishing 18 in the dark. Pace was very slow, kind of typical at this track. The back 9 holes are packed in pretty tight together, so wear your helmet! Had several balls fly into us from all directions, with no warning. Condition-wise, the tee boxes were level and mowed nicely, the fairways and rough were lush with hardly any dry patches, divots were all sanded, bunkers were softer than they appeared, and the greens rolled fast and true. There were quite a few unfixed ball marks on the greens, however. Cheap divot tools are a dime a dozen, and this course (and many others) should consider giving them away as freebies! Overall the conditions were better than I expected, but the pace here can be a bummer. And watch out for players that "see" your errant tee shots straight into their pockets!!! (Happened twice.)

Course was in rather nice condition but I found the greens to be very inconsistent, all of them were too slow, and at times bumpy. A lot of unfixed ball marks, especially from the 3some ahead of us. Many unraked bunkers, actually saw one guy go into a bunkert, hit his ball into the next bunker, walk in hit his ball and go on about his business like he was out for a stroll. We yelled at him but he just shrugged us off. Told the marshall, the one time he came around but did not do any good. Bunkers were nice fluffy sand, a bit damp. Fortunately the idiot did not dig in his feet so the footprints were not deep. Overall the course was in good shape. With the "e-mail" discounts, this course is a bargain to play! and the free glove giveaway, priceless - Top Flite cheapie glove but I needed one so good bargain.

They looked so much quicker than they actually were. But overall the course was in good shape. With the "e-mail" discounts, this course is a bargin to play!

Greens are pretty good right now(smooth and decent speed). Pace of play was great, but could of been better. Saw two fivesomes out on the course today. Still played the round in about 4 hours on a weekday. I guess the long rounds are only on the weekends here. Pro shop, snack shop and bar are the same place here. Not sure if they're going to build a real clubhouse here. But the big trailer isnt that bad.

Played Sunday 3/15 and it was a day of frustation and a leason in patience. Tee times were over an hour and 20 minutes late for a 11 :50 tee time. At one time I counted 12 carts stacked up on the first tee and you could sense everyone's frustation. The course itself is in poor conditon with dormant fairways and overall poor conditioning. The staff was couteous but overall I would not be back anytime soon to play this course

Good deal but way overbooked!! didn't tee off until 11:35 when pro shop guy had told us we would be on time! 5+ hour round ruined the fact that it was a beautiful day and course was in decent shape!! Tee's and greens were above average, and everthing else was on par. A couple of gimmicky holes but some very solid as well.

Played on Sunday 2/21/10. Had rained over night but you couldn't tell as the course drained great. Had a $45 special which included a one pound hot dog. Started about 20 minutes late but no big deal. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape. Also, marshalls were proctoring play and have groups allow other groups hit up on par threes and got things moving along. Overall good time and would return again.

Played on Monday (02/15/10) in a foursome and tee'd off at about 8:50 am. Surprisingly, it was not as packed as I thought it was going to be for a holiday. The rate of $59.00 wasn't bad compared to some of the other courses in the area but, my iPhone wasn't working to well in allowing me to book a rate at least $10.00 cheaper online.

This was my first time there and I thought from the moment we parked and checked in with the starter that it was going to be a good day. The folks inside the starter "trailer" were very friendly as well as the guy sitting in front of the first tee box making sure that each group comes up in the correct order.

As our group was getting ready to tee off, he asked if this was our first time at Dos Lagos and gave us a few pointers. He was genuinely a nice guy .

The tee boxes were nice and for the most part level. The bunkers were filled with decent sand and fairways were nice with only a mild amount of "dead spots." The greens were a little tricky. At first, they were kind of fast but as the day progressed, they became slower. The pace of play was good. We finished our round in just under 5-hours including a 30-40 minute break for lunch.

Overall, I recommend this place to anyone that can keep it in the fairway. Unlike some of the more forgiving courses, if you hit your ball sideways - it's gone. Some holes have pretty tight fairways and some of the greens are really elevated. I particularly liked the one Par 3 hole that where you stood almost a couple of hundred feet above the green. There is also no smoking on 4 of the last nine holes on the back 9.

I am definitely looking forward to next time. Enjoy.
