Had never played here before despite being Corona resident for 14 years and course opening several years back! No practice range is a major deficiency in my mind. Layout is hard to fathom. 6500 yards off the blues is about what I can handle at a 15 handicap and with six par 3's, those were the tees I played. But one of the par 3's was playing 240 yards into the wind (I hit driver!), #13, par 4, 470 yards into the wind, #14, par 5, 615 yards downwind but uphill! What do they think this is - the Nationwide Tour?
So, not the easiest of courses for me but had fun anyway - no-one ever in front of us and finished in under 4 hours. Course was a bit wet in places but generally in good shape. Greens had lots of untreated ball-marks (can't blame the management for that but since they do a good job of signage elsewhere re: pace of play, directions etc., perhaps they should remind players more to fix their divots). The sand was good in the bunkers I visited which I always think is a good indication of the care that goes into maintenance. I liked the industrial archeology - old railroad trestle, quarry remains etc. Would play again at a similar daily rate/deal.

I played the course on Monday 7/25/11 and 7/22/11. The price was good. The pace of play was good less than 3 1/2 hours each day. The greens are not in very good shape firm an lots of divot marks. On Monday the Fairways on the first 4 or 5 holes were being cross cut so they were in bad shape. I tee box 2 I drove about 50 yards short of the green. The ball rolled up by the green keeper cut the fairway. By the time I got to my ball it was gone. The green keeper was cutting the lawn back towards the tee box. So I went over and asked him if he pickup my ball, of course I got the I DON"T SPEAK ENGLISH from him. I went back where my ball should have been still not finding it. I headed back to the worker. What do you know my ball was just out side of his fresh tracks from is tractor. Of course I was pissed off. I email the course Monday and still have not heard from them.
The course is a very nice place to play. The layout along a hill side so their is elevation. Greens are not in good shape firm and divot marks. The other fairways are in good shape and the roughs are playable.

Had a good time as the greens were quick and smooth, only problem, back nine, they cross cut all the fairways and fertilized. No roll and some iffy lies. I will return though.

Played Wed morning at 830. No driving range. Putting green is way down the hill near the first tee. Used a group golfer special for $25. Course was in very good shape. Greens did not have alot of ball marks. Were smooth and just a tad slower than I thought. More my fault than the courses. No marshall no beverage cart. Played the front in 1.5 back in about 2hrs.

I've had issues with the customer service at this course in the past. They seem to have fixed that as the bag staff was very helpful. Did not have any contact with any other staff while we were there.

Dos Lagos is another decent example of good value in Riverside county assuming you take advantage of websites that offer discounted tee times.

This course is located off the 15 about 10 minutes south of the 91. Close to the Golf Club of Glen Ivy, the Retreat at Champions Club and Eagle Glen. The course is situated in a planned residential and shopping development.

The clubhouse is actually not a clubhouse at all, more of a structure that contains the pro shop, bar and kitchen. If you are not worried about anything except the golf then the clubhouse will not bother you. If you prefer a nicer place to have a drink and eat after your round, you have the option of driving across the street (less than 1 minute) into the shopping area which has several restaurants to choose from.

The lack of a driving range is more of a concern to me, but it wouldn't stop me from coming back as long as the green fee is similar to what I paid today.

The tee boxes were level, but some were a bit chewed up.

The fairways are thin in a lot of areas and there are dead spots throughout the course but not once did I ever hit off bare dirt nor did I ever feel like I was hitting off a mat; the turf played better than it looked.

The rough was also cut short, almost the same length as the fairway. I don't see this as an issue, actually I prefer it but some of you may want more of a penalty for an errant tee shot. There is thick brush, fescue and protected enviromental areas that surround the course (more prominent on the front nine) so just because the rough is short doesn't mean you are in the clear with pushes, pulls, hooks and slices.

The greens are huge, but I learned very quickly that large greens don't equal more GIRs. Also pay attention to the flag placement, some of the greens are multi tiered and being on the wrong tier can quickly result in a 3 or 4 putt. I did notice that there were a number of spots from unrepaired ball marks resulting in dead patches, nothing that affected any of my putts but certainly annoying to look at.

There are a lot of sand traps and it is very likely that you will be hitting out of the sand at some point during your round, but not too difficult to get out of. The traps don't look pretty but the clubhead slides through with little effort.

The course layout is challenging but also very playable. Some fairways are tight and narrow, there are a lot of elevation changes (both up and down) and you will encounter sidehill lies. There are homes that line parts of the course, but not that many and none that ever really come into play. In fact, the east side of the course is all mountain terrain with no houses at all.

The back nine is much more open than the front and offered many more spectacular views. In my opinion 16 and 17 are the signature holes on the course. Hole 8 is seems to be out of character for this course, it is an extremely short par 3 (115 from blue) and doesn't have much personality; almost seems like it was just forced to fit into a small, otherwise, unusable area.

Customer service was good from pro shop to cart girl. I saw her on 2, 5, 11 and 13. There are 4 water stations spread out through the course and the water is ice cold.

There were no on course marshalls that I saw today, although we could have used one...the pace of play was slow and it wasn't because the course was packed. There were 2 or 3 foursomes in front of us that were playing in some sort of tournament that was holding up at least 4 groups behind them. The group directly in front of us were all playing from the blue tees when 3 out of 4 should have been playing from white or red. It was extremely slow and it would have been helpful to have a marshall out there moving things along.

All in all, I enjoyed playing this course but it really had a lot to do with the green fee that I paid. I don't think I would play here if I had to pay $50, but I will definitely play here for $30.

Had a great time. Teed off at 8 and had the whole course to ourselves. Greens were fast but true and the rest of the course was in real good shape. I will definitely return.

We teed off today at 11:45 and finished at 3:30. Pace of play was excellent. We did encounter a slow foursome but they graciously let us through. This was the first time we had played this course, so we did not know what to expect. To me, the course is a design of two 9's. The front, tight with out of bounds; water and occasionally blind shots. The back, wide open but with some very interesting flat holes and elevation changes. The fairways are bermuda. I have never played bermuda fairways, only bermuda greens. It was difficult at first to get use to these fairways. You get great lies for fairway woods but you need to be very precise with the irons and not let the iron get caught in the bermuda prior to impact. The course seems to have suffered from the intense rain this winter and it appears it is just coming out of those wet conditions, now that the IE is getting warmer weather. It would appear that within weeks this course will be in top shape. The greens have many undulations and without playing there before, you might end up with some tough putts, as the greens are large and (though not bermuda) are slow depending upon the direction of your putt and the influence of the terrain. The greens appear beaten up, but they are not. But one can see many do not, nor ever will, learn to repair ball marks. We enjoyed the course and the many different holes you face. We especially enjoyed number 18 which can be reached in two, if you play it smartly around the water. You also encounter wind in the afternoon, which makes those holes into the wind that much more difficult. Enjoyable course that I believe most golfers will enjoy playing. The staff is great and the email special we employed was great as well.

Course is in nice condition, although some of the fairways are a bit thin in spots. The grass on the tee boxes was very "spongy", and made teeing the ball a problem using smaller tees. Staff was perfect - first off so pace of play not an issue. Some wet areas, but that was most probably due to the early morning start, I'm sure once the sun came up the areas would be a lot drier. The more I play this course, the more I enjoy it, except for # 6, which I find to be a really tough, tough 4 par.
