Played the course today. I am a fairly low handicapper and I found the course quite easy and rather uninteresting. To me it is too tricked up with the narrow landing areas on the front and the extreme elevation changes on the back. From the blue tees the front 9 is just over 3,000 yards and the back 9 is just over 3,500 yards. Six par 3's make it a little boring. I would say that it is not up to the standards of the other great courses close by....Eagle Glen and Trilogy. There were MANY ball marks. No driving range....no GPS....no markers on sprinklers....no ball cleaners...no water on the course....no bathrooms except for porta-pottys....the drink cart had a very limited selection. I won't be going back, but I am glad there is another course option that might free up some room on the better courses.

Start off with the good. This is a interesting and very playable golf course. A few elevation changes and some narrow landing areas makes this a pretty tough golf course. Back nine is a little more open on the tee shots. A brutal uphill par 5 is a great challenge. Pace of play was good for our group because we were the 2nd group to go and we finished in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Now the bad. No driving range. A ton of ball marks on the green that people don't care to repair but other then that, the greens rolled very well. No GPS system on carts and very few sprinkler heads were found with yardages on it. Bring a rangefinder. This course is currently not in the SKYCaddie directory. I will definitely come back and play this golf course.

I agree with most of the posts on Dos Lagos. It is a new course. I rated it "great" with reservations. It has great greens, smooth, fast, and hold hots, fun greens. Fairways are just terrific. But, there is no selection on fun or interesting or toughness or would you return soon? We did not like the front 9. FOUR {4} groups sitting on the 3rd tee, a par three. Broke loose after that but it was hot and it did not make anyone happy. The front 9 is kinda bland, boring, not very nice to look at, dirty due to rock quarry, all that added up to what the hell are we doing here. It was our first time and we carried on. Back 9 was just the opposite, fun, scary, interesting, very difficult at times and very scenic. Soooo with all that said I must also add that we played the whites for my buddies sake and the blues were ohhhh maybe 5 feet behind the whites. It is a very easy golf course. Would be great for that couples outing. Staff was great. But,, we wont return for awhile, too many places to spend the $39 senior rate that are much more demanding and interesting. We are picky I guess, but hey,, its our $$$$.

The only negative i can say are the tee box>>>>it is like 1/2 an inch of dirt and then rocks the rest....Soften the tee box a bit....One par 5 over 600 yards,,,,,whew and its uphill too....Good course.

Played the course for the first time and found it to be quite unique. Many interesting holes reminiscent of Aliso Viejo before they were taken out to make way for a new housing development.

Course knowledge goes a long way here in determining what club to use on the elevated tees and greens.....that is of course unless you have a range finder in your bag.

Staff very helpful and friendly which is as important as the course itself. As mentioned, unless players start fixing their ball marks the greens will be trashed in no time.

Not your conventional 18 with 6 par 3s, but fun none the less. Beware of the afternoon winds as a somewhat easy course can become a horse of a different color!

This new course is in great shape. It would be better if more people fixed their ball marks! There is a nice variety of long, short, wide, and narrow holes. There are some nice holes right along hillsides. I will not play here again until they open the first and ninth blue tees. We had to play from the whites on those holes. I also would not pay over 50 bucks to play here. Yes, I am frugal or cheap if you prefer.

Played Thurs 8/23. Friendly staff. Played from the whites (for the benefit of our high-handicapping birthday buddy). There are several (hard) tee boxes...it played shorter than the scorecard on this particular day.

The greens were firm with typical ballmark damage, but they rolled true and consistent throughout. They held several approaches for me so fire away. It's hard to take a divot in the fairways. The rough will grab your club. With blind shots and the riverbed bordering several holes on the front 9, and the roller coaster holes (14-17), it makes for a fun round. Don't go out there expecting a hard test of golf and you won't be disappointed.

We played Dos Lagos on 8/21. Frankly for a new course I was impressed. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The layout is fun and interesting. For me the course was very short - I played the reds. I could have played the whites, but then I do have an ego to protect. Conditions were very good even with a few very wet spots, but hey it is summer and we have been having very hot weather. The greens were great, especially for a new course. They held the line and what you read was what you got. I enjoyed playing here and will be back, because even though it is short, it still challenges you. My husband will be happier when all the blue tees are open. My only disappointment with this course was I drink a lot of ice water when I play in this kind of heat, (and it is warm out there off the 15 in Corona) and they had no "sanitary" ice. Just cold drinks on the beverage cart which is great but I do need ice. Even the temporary "clubhouse" did not have ice. The beverage cart was very attentive. We probably saw her 8 times throughout the round! Now that is unusual. Only other necessities lacking were yardage markers on the sprinkler heads (coming soon), ball washers, and clubhouse. Otherwise I recommend this course, it is fun and the price is great!
