Played 5/17. Fairways were in fantastic shape. Front nine greens were smooth, but the back nine greens had remants of shallow aerification lines running in most of them. Great course to let the driver rip. Very enjoyable. Not very penal. Lots of fun. Can shoot low here if you are on your game.

A very playable course for most levels with most challenge to those high handicappers. Amazing, but most of the course is below ground level. They literally dug the fairways out. This course can get windy and challenging if the Santa Ana winds kick in and the southwest afternoon winds are predictable. Not a bad course for the fee and discounts seen with Donovan and Golf Xtra.

O.K. - my first complaint about Sierra Lakes: While playing there this morning (4/2) I must have fixed three or four deep ball-marks within 3' of some pins today - only to find my ball had skidded off the back of the green!! I hate that!! If y'all remember back a few years ago -the greens today were a lot like Robinson Ranch and/or Goose Creek when they first opened - firm as a slate pool-tables and even soft, nicely-struck balls just wouldn't hold - and I usually hit a HIGH iron shot, too! Grrrrrr! Still shot my handicap, but I coulda gone low if only the greens would have held! Oh - and it was colder'n a witch's teat out there, too - kind of windy - but not as windy as I have seen it there! $34.00 with donovandaily.com e-mail coupon

Played 4/1 (no kidding), and the course is in great shape. The greens have recovered from the aeration although they are a little slow, they still putted great. The course is pretty wide open, but when you hit a really bad ball, you will be penalized. Get out and play this course and like Cheeseburger said "its really easy to get to".

Played on 3/26/03. What can you say? Perfect day, the course is, quite frankly, a 9.9 for condition (it would have been a 10.0 - but one tee-box was flooded/muddy due to a broken sprinkler head that had been fixed!) The greens were just a little slow - but - who cares?? - we started at 6:15 A.M. and finsied by 9:45 A.M. - AND I shot my handicap! The fairways are as green and well-kept as you can find anywhere - and that includes some pretty fancy country clubs as well! Well worth the drive....and the fee (especially if you have their e-mail discount - 18-holes was $34.00 including card and GPS), is most reasonable! With the 210 Fwy. now open all the way to Fontana - it's not even a bad drive!

Played on 1/30. Overall the course was in very good condition. The wind was really blowing -- at least three or four clubs worth at a minimum. The greens were very firm due to the winds, but were putting smoothly. The fairways are very green, but a little thin. Not a lot of turf under your ball. Fun course. Fun layout. Lots of room to bang your drives.
