Played Arrowood today and really enjoyed the round. Wasn't thrilled with the price hike since the last time I played there, but the weather was great and I played half decent. (83 with a new putter). Greens were FIRM. Take one less club into any of the greens as even a sand wedges will release on these greens. Must have the laziest players as regulars, cause NO ONE seems to know how to fix a pitch mark. I fixed at least 5 on every green. They roll beautifully, but do the work on your line first. The breaks are more subtle than they appear. read it and go with half of what you think. Tees and fairways are beautiful. fairways are firm too, so you'll gain some distance on your drives and lay ups on par 5's, so plan for it. ONLY REAL complaint/suggestion would be a book with dimensions of the greens. Color coded flags tell the usual, but a first timer may not know that some greens are 3-4 clubs difference from front to back. A military discount, or cheap replay option would make Arrowood a true delight, but very enjoyable and friendly staff made it a great day. That and taking the money today.

Played Sunday, April 9, at 9:45 - pretty slow considering not too many people were out (Masters Sunday). Nonetheless, this course is probably the best-conditioned in North County. After recovering from aeration, the greens are unparalleled ... firm, but will hold a shot, and putt much truer than other courses in the area. Fairways were lush, bunkers were in good shape, everything was perfect. Really good test of golf, too - played with a buddy who had never played there before. He shot 83, with a couple of birdies and couple of doubles - shows you how tough the course can be, but also how manageable it is. Play it now while it's in great shape!

Played Thursday March 16, JC recovered nicely from our "misplaced tee time" and got us out immediately (7:12). Course was in excellent condition, The greens have nicely recovered from aeration and they were rolling fast and true. Sand traps were well kept and the sand was soft. We finished the round in just over 4 hours which is a plus. Rangers were very helpful and courteous. I am looking forward to using another one of my Prepaid rounds here as JC member.

Played March 8, second time in a week. The greens are recovering nicely from the aeration done in late February. Most of the sand is off the surface, and after this coming weekend's predicted storm, things should be pretty clean. Good pace of play, good course conditions, still a great bargain for $47 (JC Player's Card rate) on a weekday.

Pretty fair test of golf if you can keep it in the fairway off the tee and accept the fact the greens will be hard to putt for a fe weeks.

Great layout and very tuff from the tips. Since the greens are firm your ball will come to rest a long way from where it hit the green so GO BACK AND FIX YOUR BALLMARK! The greens are very fast but have alot of ball marks on them. For the record, my all time longest waiting round of golf was on this course. It seems that the staff/marshalls are more focused on pleasing people than making them play on pace.

Being a Ted Robinson design fan- loved the beautifully designed course, although some holes were quite a challenge for my girlie bogey level... made more pars on the front 9 and beat the 3 three guys and was really happy overall. Will definitely go back to perfect my score next time.
