Played this course for the first time. I loved the greens. Every putt rolled true. Greens are hard now but will soften with time. Overall course condition was great even with overseeding of fairways. Staff was as freindly and efficient as at any course I have ever palyed. I will be back over and over to what has instantly become one of my favorite S.D. county courses.

My first time playing this course and after reading the reviews, I expected more? The greens were rock hard as is typical of new courses. (no problem) Condition of the course and the staff was fine. I was just not impressed with the layout. Very redundant. None of the holes "stood out", none are memorable enough to cause me to rush back. Not a bad course, just not a great course!

But the pin placements seemed like they were either on a slope or tucked away just off the green somewhere. and anything over 20 ft is a 3 putt waiting to happen. Layout is nice... just lost a ton of strokes around the green. I have a decent short game, in case you are wondering. Wait a year before playing.

I like to play a variety of courses and do so at least once a week. Since playing Arrowood for the first time in early August, I have been back 3 times and have a tee time on 9/17. It is challenging, in great shape and is just a fun track. I would recommend it strongly if anyone hasn't played it yet.

Layout was interesting, greens were billiard table quick and staff was accomodating - although they could have mentioned the maintenance when I called and asked specifically for that information.

FWIW, #16 is a very tough 442 par 4 into the prevailing wind and an island green makes the second shot very demanding. The hole does play downhill, but the wind more than makes up for that. Honestly, after playing a dozen or so 350 yd par 4's prior to that, #16 just seems a bit out of place with regard to it's severity.

The fact that there were several hole locations on the transitions near the edges of these ultra-quick, ultra-hard greens did not help. Very, very precise iron play is called for until these greens mature.

This is a new course, and is likely to have a few stumbles along the way. I'll be back, but a bit more wary next time.
