Played 10/15 and greens were in good shape. Aeration starts 10/16. Fairways are rough in spots. If you are looking for a course with no defense against good scoring, get a tee time here. Par 5's from the whites all less than 500 yds. Par 3's are a better challenge. Most all par 4's in the 350 yard range or less so bring your good wedge play. You have to nip them off the closely cut fairways. Sand in bunkers was inconsistent. I won't go out of my way to play here again but it was a fun experience.

Overall a good experience and value. This is an excellent practice course - not long so the game goes quickly and not expensive. This is not a super lush 'coutry club' type course but you don't pay ... Continue »

I play bonita quite a bit because it is close, but the greens suck there and they won't be getting any better anytime soon. The course pro is one of the rudist people I have ever met. Save your money ... Continue »

I recently played Bonita Golf club. I had to pay for a cart because we had an extra person with us. I wanted to walk but had to rely on a $15 cart for a very short course. The greens were punched three weeks ago and looked as though they were only a week old. Very poor fairways,bunkers, and tee boxes!!! The staff in the pro shop are a bit rude also. I could have played a putt-putt course and had a better time and saved some money. If you want to play in san diego stay away from Banita until it gets somebody to take care of the course!!!!

The twilight price of 16$ is one of the best values in S.D. Nice lay out with plenty of distance.

Had a late afternoon tee time,course was empty,wanted to walk but had a fivesome . Charged us all cart fees,group behind us were four holes back, couldnt have caught us if we were crawling.Tee boxes abt 3ft wide and very uneven,dirt sandtraps,divot filled fairways and slowwwwwwwww bumpy greens.If ur going to play golf in the southbay The Auld or Chula Vista city course is a far better choice.
