Divotnjay and I played our south region final match today. The course is in ok condition. Tee boxes were good with ok damage but more then enough room to hit from. Fairways were hit and miss. Some were green a rolled good others had lots of dead hard pan areas. I think Jay said he had about 3-4 bad lies in the middle of the fairways. Greens were just ok, most rolled well but some had not recovered from maintaince. Others look to have some real dry areas. Sand in the course was a mixed bag. Some were heavy and hard to hit from some were ok.

Overall with the drought the course is ok but has seen better times. Hopefully they can turn it around.

Played my GK 7 match with Shaunstorm123. Course is in nice condition. The greens were not as fast as in the past but still fast enough. They were in good shape after recent maintenance. The fairways are pretty good, just a couple of dirt spots here and there but for the most part good shape. Tee boxes were good also. Didn't hit any in the sand but the traps here have been good in the past. For a walking rate of $28 I think its a great deal.

Good, well kept course. Relatively flat piece of land with a variety of holes due to stream running through course and a lake. Not the most challenging course. Greens are fast and true and well hold a ball.

We were pleased with the condition of the course and the pace of play but be ADVISED.

We found out about the "wierd" regulations concerning "non-access" to their new driving range. They now have a policy of not allowing electric carts to access the driving range.

Golfers now first need to pay for range balls at the Pro Shop... then walk to the driving range... and then, walk back to the Pro Shop before getting an electric cart. The range isn't that close to the Pro Shop... go figure!

After spending who knows how much to install sod in the driving range and hitting area, cart access is now forbidden. Be aware, if you plan to ride and use their diving range you should allow an additional 20-30 minutes to march back and forth to the Pro Shop to comply with the new regulations.

I wonder what kind of Return on Investment this will turn out to be? I don't plan to use their driving range in the future.

Played Sunday 1/18/15 and had a pretty good time. POP was 4 1/2 hours, not bad for a sunday afternoon. $26 to walk, also not too bad. Contitions wise, just okay. Greens were super fast and smooth, definitely the highlight of the place. They were so fast that they were a little unfair if you were above the hole, holy cow, barely tap the thing and if it didn't go in the hole it was 5 -10 feet past. Teeboxes were pretty shabby, thin and bare, but you were able to find a decent spot to put the tee in. Fairways were pretty hard and cut thin, but usually had a good lie so can't complain too much. Didn't find a bunker, but they looked ok. Overall had a good time and it was worth the green fee, nice place to walk and the day was beautiful.

My foursome played on 9/11 and really enjoyed ourselves. We have a slow fivesome in front of us but it was a nice day and just enjoyed the course. Only small downfall I observed was the condition of the carts. Dirty and four empty sand bottles. But we had a great time and thanks to all. Opie very professional and personable.

Still in great shape. Still recommend it. Those bunkers are impeccable should you find yourself in one. Join the e-club and twilight starts at noon for $20. Solid deal.

The course is in great shape right now. Tee to green is well maintained and in the best shape I've ever seen it. The things that impressed me the most were the tee boxes, all level and lush; the traps, fluffy and rockless; and the greens. The greens had some marks and repair in places but otherwise held shots well and rolled true. The fairways we solid with mostly non existent rough. POP was at 4 hours today.

Note- The range was closed. There was a sign in the pro shop that said it should reopen in August. Looks like they are converting it into a grass/mat range which should be nice. The short game area was still open.

A fairly simple design, this course is decent for the price. You can really score here if you're playing well. There is not a whole lot of trouble to get into. Only one or two water hazards, and there... Continue »

A fairly simple design, this course is decent for the price. You can really score here if you're playing well. There is not a whole lot of trouble to get into. Only one or two water hazards, and there are plenty of holes that run side by side with other holes so you can let the big dog eat of the tee box. Fun for all skill levels. The 19th hole at this club is great. Lots of locals, and always lively.
