Played 10-28 at 12:00 p.m. As the previous reviewer said, this place is in very poor shape. All of the greens have dozens of ball marks, burnt-out patches and in some cases, random spots of sand which I'm fairly sure are not helping the aeration process. The fairways are very thin and it felt like you need to "dig out" every iron shot, the rough was easier to hit off than the fairway. Many of the tee boxes were crowned or lopsided. The pin positions on many holes were ridiculous, often cut only 3 or 4 paces onto the green, presumably because so many other parts of the green were so messed up. The best aspect of the course was probably the bunkers which I found 3 times. Lastly, many of the yardages on this course are inaccurate and I'm not saying this because I played poorly, I shot a 78, but I paced off a number of yardages and found them 8-15 yards off the mark. I am not sure how this happens unless the people doing the yardages cannot calculate properly.

Overall, the course has a decent mix of holes, although some of them appear overly contrived to give homeowners a better view rather than to actually enhance the golf course's playability, accuracy off the tee is an absolute must otherwise bring plenty of balls. My view: Don't waste your money here until they fix the greens and the fairways, there are much better quality and value courses in the area.

Not worth the price, even with a discounted rate of $58 on a Sunday. Pace of play was good, less than 4 hours, but the course wasn't. Too many crowned tee boxes, too many divots and thin spots in the fairways, and when did they aerate their greens? September? Every green was riddled with ball marks, bare patches, etc. Every flag was within 2-4 steps of the edge of the green, probably to try to let the rest of the greens recover. Slow, furry, bumpy greens with minefields of gouges and dents = no fun with the putter. Ridiculously overpriced for these conditions. No bev service on the course, either - saw the cart once but then apparently she left for the day. At 10:30 a.m. On a Sunday. Good bye, Eagle Crest...

Snuck out for a birthday round at Eagle Crest on 9-12-06. Got a great rate, even for aerated greens. Basically had the place to ourselves and played 18 in about 3.5 hours. Scoring was tough because of the greens, but all else in decent shape. Love the layout. Not too difficult, but can bite you if you stray off the fairway! Good clean fun and a nice place to play.

Got on on a Sunday afternoon for the $25 rate, weather was a cool 83.
Pace of play was good, 4.25 hrs, tee boxes decent, fairways okay if a tad thin, bunkers in decent shape.

But the greens were pretty bad - very spotty and almost burnt looking in many places. Given that, the roll was okay, no major problems.

One water stop container was completely empty, and we did not see a refreshment cart the entire round. And although we finished about 7:05, the clubhouse was locked and everyone gone home, so we couldn't get anything to drink after the round either.

Overall for $25 it was still well worth it, but at full price no way.

WoW!! I can't believe I payed only $25. to play eaglecrest!!! As usual the course is in good shape. I have to say that valley is HOT!!! The heat however makes for an enjoyable pace of play. My foursome played in less than four hours. Having played here many times, I have to say the greens were very slow this time around. can't beat the price, but remember, you get what you pay for!!

I play Eagle Crest G.C. every weekend, and I was shocked to read someone who paid $25.00 to play on a saturday morning wrote the greens were slow and bumpy, I also played that morning and the greens were running 9.5 to 10 and smooth, the course overall is in great shape (a couple teebox's need work) but other then that a great golf course to play!!

Played this on Saturday June 24th. We got a discounted rate for $25 which includes the cart. I don't think I would pay any more for this. Played in 4 hours which was probably because no one wanted to be out in Escondido at 2:00. It seemed like the greens were a little slow and not all that smooth, there also seemed to be a lot of ground under repair on the course probably because it was so dry.
