Played there on Sunday 12 Feb 2006. The course is showing signs of stress due to the long period without rain. The fairways have become quite pitted and the lies can be thin for the same reason but the dormant grass is also a factor. Greens are somewhat bumpy for lack of natural rain water. The course is usually in great condition and there is no reason to suppose that with some rain it will not make a quick recovery. A further minus factor was the unacceptable pace of play with the round taking five and a half hours to complete. Staff were welcoming as usual.

It's a nice tight course. You may lose a few balls or hit a few trees on a few of the holes and slow play on the front nine can kill your day. The conditions were great though but it took almost 5 and a half hours to finish. Great specials and friendly staff.

Have played it several times lately. Good tract nice condition greens are very large. Some holes are very good particular the par 3's and number 9. Good value I'll be back.

Course is in great shape right now, great custmore service. Nice pace of play,4hr round. Keep it in the short grass or bring alot of balls. Fun course

I had stopped playing this course because of the poor conditions. Im glad I decided to give it another try, because the new owner has gotten the course back in good shape. Some of the tee boxes were alittle uneven but the fairways and greens are in the best shape I've ever seen them in. There are some great risk reward holes And the twi-light rate can't be beat.

Overall course was in good shape. Fairways were perfect!!! Greens were ok, aerated about 2 weeks ago. If you are wild off the tees, bring extra balls or go to the 3 wood. Bring your own refreshments, didn't see food/drink cart the ENTIRE DAY!!! Most importantly, keep it in the short grass and have fun.

This is a very good course for the area. While the layout and variety of the the holes is good, the closeness to home and condition of some of the holes are the qualities from making it an excellent course. Luckily, the email newsletter from the course provided a $10 discount on the green fee, otherwise, the course is not worth the rate that it charges. It should be closer to $40 rather than $70 for the weekend.
The course is set in an area that would appear to close down with any amount of rainfall, which is why the cost is higher than the quality of the course. The water, the hazards and the views of the course makes the Eagle Crest a better than average course. The marshalls were constantly providing updates on the slow play conditions (3 times on the front nine) and were very helpful in letting us know that it would clear up by the back nine.

I would like to play the course in the future for the right price. It is hard too believe that the course remains open much during the rainy season as many holes on the front nine are in low areas that creeks and small streams run fairly close to the course. This was just a few days after rain and it was quite muddy and had to remain on the cart path for almost half of the front nine holes.
