Played the course on 6/12 as part of my club's monthly tournament. Immediate complaint, got there at 8:30 AM and they were out of range balls. How can you be out of range balls on a Saturday morning by 8:30? Because they don't have enough! Heard starter complaining to another employee they needed to buy more. Ridiculous, not to mention the fact they knew they had a tournament going off at 9:15. Anyway, on to the course. It was in okay shape, lots of ground under repair in the fairways, lots of hardpan off the fairways in the "rough". Greens rolled nice even though they had been punched, not sanded yet though. This is an interesting course, many of the holes are pretty severe doglegs, and alot of trees and water. The wind comes up pretty regularly and really impacts the back nine, with holes either into the wind or straight downwind. Love holes 12, an uphill short par 4, it must elevate two hundred feet, followed by hole 13 a short par 3 straight back down the same elevation. At least two clubs difference for both holes. I will always play here when in town, but American Golf has to do something about the lack of range balls.
