Played here Sunday, 6/6/10, on a Girl's Golf weekend--we had a blast! I have played here before and really like this course. And the rate has dropped..we paid $50 at 10:00 on a Sunday! Totally worth that green fee!!!! I know I have paid $90 there in the past. Beautiful sunny day with a nice breeze once in a while. The greens were in great shape as were the women's tees. Fairways were in good shape and the rough was short so not too difficult as long as you don't stray too far left or right! Although we didn't eat in the restaurant, I have in the past. Love the big picture windows overlooking the first tee box and the food is good too...so are the Bloody Mary's...ummmm. One of my favorite courses which I hope to play again soon!

We played Saturday Nov 28. We started at 7:45 in a lite rain. Even with moisture on the greens, they were very fast. This course is a shot makers course. you need to work the ball both ways. Stay below the hole on approach shots. Always take the extra club when in between. The staff is excellent. worth the drive.

Played 10/18/09 twilite special. The course is recovering from punching the greens and overseeding. It was cart path only. The course should be in excellent condition in a few weeks.

Played 10/18/09 twilite special. The course is recovering from punching the greens and overseeding. It was cart path only. The course should be in excellent condition in a few weeks.

This is enjoyable course with many natural features. Do not be greedy, but keep the ball in play. The greens are tricky with a fair amount of break.

Played Pala Mesa on Labor day 9/7 at a discounted $45 rate. South course holes 1-8 (except for 9) has narrow, undulating, winding fairways. Minor annoyance is the constant Highway noise. Maintenance seemed a little lacking and there is a tendency of over-watering of the fairways. Better to put away the driver and use long irons off the tee.

The North course is wider, level and very much different from the South. Maintenance here appear to be much better, except for the ugly overgrown algae lake on the 18th.

Greens on both courses are fast and overall in good shape.

Descriptions of "beautifully manicured", "spectacular mountain views", "4 star rating from Golf Digest" is really very misleading.

Definitely, not worth the long drive!

we played this course at a discounted price and it was well worth the drive. the fairways and greens were in terrific condition. We played at 740a and finished in 4 1/2 hours.

Course was in very good shape, greens fast. There was a group playing very slow and no ranger,h ad to go around them, after that we played course in 4 hours.

Played here on 9/25/08 at 12:30. Overall the course is in very good condition and well worth the $35 greens fee. The greens were fast. They put a lot of water on this course. There was always mud on my ball. So, not much roll on drives and everything into the greens stopped where it landed. I suppose this makes the course play easier since there is OB on just about every hole and the soft conditions help keep the ball in play. As far as the comments that this course is narrow, I didn't think it was that narrow, but with OB everywhere you could shoot a pretty high score if you're having a wild day off the tee.

The course isn't as tight as many are indicating...you won't be losing a bunch of balls.

As for the previous comment about the scorecard being reversed at some online sites....the course has two nines. Sometimes they have players start on "#10".

Course is pretty good. Greens roll true. Only comment is that the fairways are soggy. Too soggy to where the ball doesn't roll, gets imbedded and have to play summer rules during September.
