greens are very dry right now, making the greens extremely fast. Maybe even not playable for most people. Greens has a yellowish color that makes your eyes hurt. Pace of play is horrible for a resort course. Played in about 5 and a half hours.
Probably due to the difficulty of the greens.

Played this course on Sunday, 02/20/2005. The corse held up very well to the large amounts of water it had taken on over the past 2 months. I would without a doubt play this course again (hopefully under better conditions).

Challenging, Fun, Tight at times and also very forgiving course. Paired up with a course member that showed me the ropes and had a great round. Course employees were very good also.

played May 27 and 28...course was in good shape...too many white stakes, need to change to lateral hazards, would be more fun for guests and would not slow down play...

Pala Mesa is a wonderfully scenic, well kept, risk/reward type course. From the whites there are some very reachable par 5's. Gotta keep it in the short grass as most fairways are lined with huge, mature trees. Greens had some spots that were infected with an odd fescue looking weed, but it didn't effect roll. Dunno if it's worth $70 (not many courses are), but we played for 1/2 off on golf extra coupon. It is definitely worth their $119 a night room and unlimited golf deal (did that last year). An enjoyable course.
