I played on 5/13 and thought the greens were in pretty bad shape. They had some problems with their greens earlier and are letting them grow in. Consequently they were all slow or inconsistent from one to the other. They try to manage the consistency by letting them all grow in, but this makes them very slow and the ball doesn't roll true. I think it will be a few months before the greens are back up to snuff. The balance of the course is in pretty good shape. I wouldn't pay the full rack rate for this course given the conditions of the greens. Look for a buy on Golf Now or the local paper.

Played on 5/6/11 with our usual group. Everyone had a great time. Lots of trees for shade. The ocean breeze was fresh and made some holes challenging. Overall a great day on a great layout. Not overly challenging, but it kept your attention. Greens were very soft but not overly bumpy. Pace of play was 4 hours. There were two beverage carts and the turn is back at the clubhouse. I couldn't think of anything that was so poor that I would complain about it. I look forward to returning.

This course was awesome to play. The fairways are immaculate - very well kept and maintained, as is the rough. The course is in great condition - everyone replaces/fills divots.. rakes the traps.. fixes ball marks on the greens, etc.
The pace of play was a little sluggish, but the course is in such great condition, you don't seem to notice. The staff and customer service is excellent.
The only thing that I did not like was the 'temporary' greens they had on hole one, and another on the backside (can't remember which hole).
Overall 10/10 and would play/recommend playing this course.

Came here for a birthday weekend for my brother otonitoni. They are running a Play/Stay package. Customer service was one of the best I ever experienced at a golf course. Front desk, starter, staff was down to earth and friendly. We were made aware of some greens under repair on #1, #3 and #13 at the very beginning. We even got drink tickets from the starter for each of us and they apologized for the inconvenience and thanked us for our business! Now..the course. Greens, with exception of the 3 under repair were in great condition. Fairways were firm and the rough was medium thick. Sand traps were fluffy...on the 1 bunker I was in. Layout on this course is very unique. Water comes into play on a few holes including the beautiful par 5 - 18th. The back 9 plays significantly harder than the front 9. Watch out for a ditch that runs through the course. Marshall informed us up front on the local rules for that. Cart girl came by numerous times...and the snack shop at the turn was well equipped and prompt. We ended up replaying this course in the afternoon in under 3.5 hours. 1st time around was 4.5 hours.

Played on 10/24 9am, course looks wet, green of 1st. is a little bit sandy but not in bad shape, at that time green are pretty slow. Fairways are dry at some spots (may be water restrictions) and the fairway grass is a little high in some holes (but playable), a very few green have dry areas that can easily ruin your puts, however most of them are OK, as time goes by the green are getting dry and faster (watch to adjust your putts). Pace of play is good and marshals are keeping care of it. Course layout is nice and challenging, some very interesting shots (make sure to get the yardage guide since contains some very good tips that can pay off in a few less shots. I think that with more water the course should be in great shape, definitely I will play again this beauty.

The course has just undergone a huge redo on 9 of the greens. Tis the season for aeration and overseeding. I played and the greens had just been sanded and were in pretty bad shape. However, the course itself was in great condition and the fairways and bunkers were in great shape. Due to the condition of the greens the course let me play for $37. That was a great deal and didn't complain. I will for sure play this course again if in the San Diego area again. P.S. the customer service was outstanding.
