The course is in great shape except they are overseeding the T boxes but otherwise a great value if you get one of the first few twilight rates. Greens are in excellent condition, trap have plenty of sand and the fairways have more body to them than in previous visits. A must play!

Played a very enjoyable round with GKer zachary at 9:50AM on a sunny Monday morning, 9/26/11. Got a $42 rate on the course's website and jumped at it. I really enjoy this course and it was in vey good shape - greens were very good, held shots, putted true at medium-fast speed. Not that many ballmarks. Fairways were generally good, although we encountered a number of wet areas, and sprinklers were going in targeted areas on several holes. Our twosome was behind a foursome but they moved right along and we layed in 4 hours. Friendly pro shop guy, free range balls, very good food at the grill afterwards. No bathroom on the front 9 after #2 (!). Highly recommended - too bad it's so far off the beaten path, and getting there is a pain with the construction on Hwy 76. Upscale homes and very quiet ambiance in a natural setting. If this was closer to the I-5 corridor I would play here much more often.

Very enjoyable round! I forgot just how much I like this course. Condition was good, not great, but very acceptable. Some issues on the tee boxes and greenside bunkers, but otherwise the entire course was fine. I would like this course better if the holes were more proximate to one another and made walking for practical, but still one of the better courses in the area

I played out here yesterday. I really like the layout of the course. It looks like they just did some maintenance on the greens but it wasn't too bad. There were some very small punch holes on the greens. They were a bit bumpy and really slow. The overall course is nice. I would really like to get back when the greens are rolling better. The clubhouse and resturant are very nice and the price isn't bad either at $49 on a Friday

First time I've played here (on 8/11) in the last 8 months and the course is great shape especially the fairways. Last time they were very"thin", much more grass on them this summer. Greens were holding very well. Pace of play in the late PM was 4 hours. Also, make sure you play the course from the proper T's for your game as this is a very challenging course. Follow the TEE IT FORWARD guidelines from the PGA, it will really help you enjoy your round!

Played on July 15th at 10:40 on a email special for only $49. This Course has a wonderful layout and is a challenge to even the most skilled player. Customer service in the Pro Shop and on the Golf Course was outstanding. All in all the Course was in great shape, Greens were rolling around 10.5 and true. Fairways were in good shape for the most part...looks like they have done some work on them recently, but it didnt affect the play or lie of the ball what so ever. Pace of play was great we went out as a 3 some and played in just under 4 hours, it seemed like never we saw another group out there...(Due to the great layout) They have a beautiful Club House that has a Private Club feel to it. I will definitely be back for this one....you cant beat it for the price and it has to be one of the hidden gems in San diego.

Played Saturday, 7/17, 2pm. $45 twilite rate makes this an incredible value for San Diego. "Maderas North" is how I describe it to people. Course was in fine shape, greens a touch slow in the afternoon, not sure if this was time of day or 2-3 weeks post-punch. Just a few rough patches, but overall very good conditions for the price.

Many fairways had been punched and plugs were everywhere. On Fairway # 10 they were vigorously spraying/dumping mulch and fertilizer while we played. There was no alerts that this was going on prior to paying and going out on the course. Had a polite conversation in the pro shop with no satisfaction after the round.
