The new layout is great. Even though the course is relatively short from the tips it can still provides a challenge. You need to use all of your clubs. Worth the green fees.

Short course with great work around the greens to make this a good challenge. Greens are large and make you hit wedge to flag locations or your score can add up in a hurry from poor location.

Check out the article in the local paper on the opening of BV. They are planning on 9 min T-time intervals similar to what River Ridge is doing (I belive they are 10) If you are sick and tired of 5+ hour week-end rounds give them both a try.

Reading the article sounds like they made a nice shotmakers course.

Got out to play BV before the remodel. Looks like the last day to play is May 2nd and then they will be closed for 6-8 months. While the greens were in good shape, you could tell they were getting ready to close it down based upon the fairways. They still yielded good lies, but they were turning brown and starting to thin out. T boxes not that good. I enjoy the layout at BV and will be looking forward playing again once it re-opens.

Course is decent. No Marshalls and a lot of players who are just there to mess around. I hope they manage the course better once they are done with the renovation.

Greens were in very good condition. Fairways and rough were typical for this course, but the sand traps were not in the greatest of shape. Course is a good value for what you pay.

FYI – We are now hearing the forecasted closure due to major renovations to Buenaventura Golf Course have be rescheduled to begin in March as opposed to January.

Played round in tournament, that made the round slow. This course in in great shape. Greens nearly perfect!
