Played 11/5 with AZgolfer25, Club Whisperer & JohnnyGK. I had a great time playing a great golf course. Lots of scenic views. Course was in immaculate condition almost 3 weeks after over seed. We tried playing the tips and the course really showed its teeth. The greens were very fast. 11-12. The more elevated greens were the driest & the fastest.

Great practice range. Service was perfect. You pay more here than you would at most other courses, but, you play a great golf course and get a high quality golf experience.

Played 8/30. First tee time of the day. Course was in great condition overall. Plays very soft this early in the morning. Fairways, rough, sand, and greens were in phenomenal shape for late August. Fairways were lush. They re-sodded some burnt spots. Greens were pure. not a bump on them. They were a medium speed, around a 10. Service was great from bag drop to beverage cart.

Played Troon North (Pinnacle) on 7/31 from the gold tees (71.7/137/6645). Found the golf course to be very fair and playable as long as I put my tee shot in the fairway. A ball in the rough is GONE (snakes, and jumping cholla cactus!!). Tee boxes were in good to great condition, with some divot damage here and there. Fiarways were very lush. Due to the recent rain, it was cart path only. Greens were pretty fast but had quite a few ball marks at times. Overall, a great course, that I'd love to play in the winter. BTW, it was only 87* in Scottsdale! Great weather.

Played Troon North Pinnacle Course Thursday November 12th and was truly impressed. I had read many raving golf course reviews so my expectations were extremely high – I was not disappointed. The playing conditions, service, food (Dynamite Grille) and facilities were exceptional. The layout is stunningly beautiful (see photos), challenging, fair and provides incredible views of surrounding hills, desert terrain and some palatial homes. Played with Isoceles, Chilipalmer99 and TheGolfWhisper (formally Car6789) and had a super fun time. I can’t explain the playing characteristics of the course any better then Isolceles has in the previous review – what I can only say is I’ve played many desert courses and this one is by far my favorite. Treat yourself to this place when you are in Scottsdale.

Played 11/12 with Chilipalmer, car6789 & JohnnyGK. Golf course was in superb condition overall. Tee boxes were in immaculate condition. The fairways & rough were great. They both were over seeded with rye grass. Made the ball sit up in the rough nicely. Sand traps had plenty of good coarse sand. They were large & deep. If you hit into them on the fly, your ball could bury. Greens were large & receptive to good shots. They were running around 10.5 on the stimp. You had to be very careful when putting from above the hole.

Golf course is challenging. Keeping it on the grass is critical. Stray off the course and the desert can be unforgiving. (50/50 that you can find it. If you do, 50/50 that it's playable.) There are forced carries. There are elevation changes that factor into your club selection. When hitting to the green, use the pin placement card that's in the cart. It helped me get the right yardage to the pin. They provide you with a yardage book. The sprinkler heads have the yardage to the middle of the green.

Course has a nice practice facility. The service is great. The staff is excellent. Lots of scenic views of the high Sonoran desert. Yes, you are paying top $ to play this great golf course, but it's worth it.

It was great to see & play with Chilipalmer, car6789, & Johnny again. It was a fun day. Thanks again for the GK swag Johnny. It was much appreciated. Hope to see you in January.

You better drive it straight or bring a bucket of balls. Great staff and service. Can get a good rate online if you are flexible with your times.

Played 11/18. Golf course is in excellent condition. It's a desert style, target golf course with five sets of tees for all levels of play. I give it an overall rating of 9.1 out of 10. The tee boxes, fairway, rough, and sand traps were in great condition. The greens were nice. They rolled smooth & true at about 10 - 11. There are lots of scenic views and many holes which require you to factor in the elevation changes. The course is well marked with the yardages on the sprinkler heads. They provide a yardage book for you as well. Course has a good practice range. Service was excellent. Staff was courteous & helpful. Current online rates range from $99 to $145, depending on day and time. If you want a pleasant golf experience, I recommend you give Pinnacle @ Troon North Golf Club a try.
