Played in a shotgun tourney Sat 8am, 5 hr round... HOT day. course in great shape. Greens are decent muni shape, running a fast 9, so slow. But ran pretty true. The rest of the course very playable. We'll see how it holds up in the summer heat, but for now, the course is in as good a shape as I've seen it.

Found a day where it was not a gabillion degrees in Sacramento last week, so I decided to
cross another muni off my list. 3:30 walking $21. Certainly worth it, but if u play late I think the food closes early. Played the white tees at 6297, blues are 6569. I thought the course was in very good muni shape. The fairways were pretty plush if spotty. I never had a bad lie but I saw quite a few spots that would be marked GRU in a tourney. First green was super spongy and very slow. The rest held pretty good and were medium speed and smooth. Traps were Sacramento decent and deceptive. Many were short of the greens but looked green side. A lost art. The tee boxes were all slanted but I hit a lot of fairways so maybe that's what my game needs. A fair challenge on a nice tree lined course.

Played 4/1, 8:50 tee time, 2 some, 3 1/2 hrs. Course in front of us moved pretty fast. Course behind us looked busy. Course looks like no one is taking care of it. Fairways are shaggy. rough not mowed. In decent shape otherwise. Greens slow, like a fast 9slow 10, mostly true. $33 to walk seemed high for the conditions on a weekday. But given the available choices, beggars can't be choosers. Range open. Pro shop open to one at a time. I saw them power washing every single cart for 5 min each. Cups installed upside down so that only half the ball is below the cup when holed (which makes holing out harder). Had a decent time, but wish it was in better shape.

Lots of mud/overwatered spots throughout the course; mostly in the rough near the greens, and some green to tee walks. Maybe 4 or 5 spots in the fairway that I noticed. Took a few relief drops because of that. Other than that, very playable and enjoyable. Greens a slow 10 and mostly true. Not too bad for a muni course asking $40 to ride.

Hadn't played here in years, but thought I'd give it a shot for a tuneup round before my next golf trip.

There had been a frost delay and it stacked up the tenth tee (which was the starting box because of the weather). Disappointingly, the pace of player was slow as molasses, as expected, as its never the fastest course to play. The big issue is that there is zero on course marshalling. Play stacks up and stays that way. After 12 holes, we skipped a group and found 4 open holes ahead of them.

Course itself- Fairways super dormant, not many good lies at all. Rough non-existent. No rough either. Greens were excellent and rolled quickly. Sand traps were good, a rarity for the Sacramento/Central Valley.

I'll play it as a value course if the price is right, that's about it!

This was our second round today. We teed off at about 9:35 and were paired with another twosome. I imagine this course is always busy and slow, and that was the case even on a Monday. It seemed slower than it was at times, and we still finished in a little over 4 hours. We used a GolfMoose deal for $49/2 players (plus an additional $25 off thanks to a GK prize voucher!!!). So for $12.50 each, not too shabby.

I was pleasantly surprised with the conditions as a fairly low-end muni course. Much of the "grass" from tee to green is a mix of different grasses, clovers and weeds. However, it is all cut down consistently and it plays fine enough. Tee boxes okay. Fairways decent. Rough okay. I was in one bunker and it had nice sand. Once again, I was very impressed by the greens. My number rating may skew a bit high because I scored the greens an 8. I fixed a few stray ball marks here and there, but they were pretty well-maintained despite the quantity (and quality) of players this place gets. They were soft/receptive and rolling smooth at medium/fast speeds.

Course isn't anything too special. Pretty standard old school parkland muni. Flat and tree-lined. What you see is what you get. After the main round, I went and played the Express 9 (par 29) course here. They let me go around for free and let me use the cart from the first round. Decent little practice/learning course with enough challenge on a few holes to keep you entertained.

Tee boxes are beat up, but I don't care about that. Decent course, good walk, had fun.
