Greens were aerified three weeks ago but do not play this course till mid May for them to return to normal conditions. Sand traps are in bad shape and has rocks, so be weary of the traps.

Played Turkey Creek in July and September. Beautiful course in foothills of Lincoln, Ca outside Sacramento. Very well laid out using natural rocks formations. Lots of uneven stances due to slope of fairways, you do not want to be in the rough as it is thick. First tee box is on bluff overlooking fairway with big landing area but well guarded by trees on right if you take it too far. Really need distance control on a lot of tee shots, also it gets tighter through the middle holes of the course. On the back nine, one par 3 has huge elevation change down to hole, guarded by water along front of green, play to middle of the green as both times I played pin placement is near the water side edge of green which looks very tempting 145 yards away. Finishing hole is longer than it looks and do not be right or you will have a lot of water to carry, if you miss short right, shot up the hill is very difficult as it will be blind. Lots of fun, very challenging, worth the trip, greens fee a little pricy but carts have GPS. Food is excellent, service is very good in clubhouse and snack bar.

Turkey creek is another Brad Bell gem that is just a pleasure to play. Each hole is well defined by surrounding oaks, pines, granite outcroppings, and the natural habitat of the foothills.

Turkey creek is another Brad Bell gem that is just a pleasure to play. Each hole is well defined by surrounding oaks, pines, granite outcroppings, and the natural habitat of the foothills.

Located just outside of Lincoln, this course is a masterpiece with respect to the natural contours of the area. Challenging semi- blind tee shots with just enough hint of direction lend a mystic to each hole that provides exhilliration from the tee box. The kind of enthusiasm that it takes to play on a hot summer afternoon.

The greens were just severe enough to keep all putters intact after more than a few 3-putts. You have to be on the pro side to play.

Turkey Creek is an excellent course. I judge a course on how soon I return to play. I will be back soon to try Turkey!!!

The course is ok BUT the pace of play is slow, slow, and slower.Second hole begins backing up and when you get to the 10th there are a minimum of three (3) groups waiting. Have advised Pro Sho but it has not changed during the last year 5hrs and 37 minutes. Not that I counted every minute out there. Did I mention how slow it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Course is in adequate shape BUT 5hr-6hr rounds. Last three (3)outing; 5hrs 10min., 5hr 22min, 5hr 18min. Brutal. Gets backed up at 2nd hole and continues through 10 where it gets worse. No marshals an... Continue »
